Rainy day, during daylight hours, wipers and lights on. Engine stalled from 35mph. Display read low steering power. Hard start by pushing brake and ignition button. Could have been terrible accident. No prior notification of battery or electrical issuesOwner report · Unknown Or Other · Aug 2026
While stopped at a red light, the auto stop/start system shut the engine off and it failed to restart automatically. The dashboard showed "Low Power Steering" and "Engine Stopped - Press Brake Firmly to Restart." Pressing the brake did not work. I had to shift to Park and manually restart the vehicle. This has happened twice.Owner report · Engine · Jun 2026

I am reporting Certification Fraud and severe safety violations by Central Florida Toyota. This vehicle was sold as "Toyota Gold Certified" on March 28, 2026, while having an active safety recall (NHTSA 26V203) with no available remedy. Furthermore, a professional inspection revealed a high-voltage hybrid system leak and structural damage (bondo/rust) on engine mounts, indicating a hidden prior collision. The 160-point inspection was falsified to mask these defects. Although the contract was eventually unwound, this vehicle was sold in a lethal condition, violating federal safety standards.Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Mar 2026
Safety hazard! Taillights are poorly designed: not clearly visable at night(bad weather) for the vehicles behind. I was almost rearended at night because of this; as the person behind me, told me. They need to be on the back of vehicle for proper visualization for vehicle behind. You can only see the back tailights at night if your on the side of the vehicle. That is a dangerous situation for motorists.Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Sep 2025

I was at a red light with my windshield wipers on. I then heard several warning beeps with messages stating "steering power low", battery low, and then the steering locked. I tried to turn the wheel after the last message came up but the steering wheel was locked. I couldn't accelerate. I had to park the car and turn it off and on again. This has happened twice now and Toyota says it is "fine".Owner report · Steering · Feb 2025
Dark spots on the road with the LED headlights on low beam. This is very distracting and causes me to focus on the dark spots. Very dangerous when driving on winding roads at night. A lot of deer on and on the side of the rural roads and the dark spots take my focus away.Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Dec 2024
