About Carlexica
Carlexica is a reference site for US-market cars: common problems, recall campaigns, OBD-II trouble codes and VIN decoding - in one place, one page per vehicle.
Everything on this site is computed from official, public-domain sources published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): the vPIC vehicle database, recall campaign records and more than 1.5 million owner complaints. We aggregate, count and cross-reference; we do not invent ratings.
How to read the numbers: complaint counts reflect what owners chose to report, so popular cars naturally collect more reports. The percentages by component and comparisons between model years of the same car are the meaningful signals.
Carlexica is an independent project. We are not affiliated with NHTSA or any vehicle manufacturer.
