“Delamination of touchscreen occurring resulting in "ghost touches/calls". This has been verified by an independent dealership. “ABS module / hcu shorted internally. Both had to be replaced. These are on recall for many 2020 jeep grand cherokee and the dealer has replaced several for this recall. “Jeep delamination screen on the face of the radio. This is a safety concern that could disable my use of my cell in calling 911 in case of a emergency and also being able to locate the vehicle via GPS. It also disables the SOS function in the radio head. This is a known problem with these radio's but hasn't addressed by the manufacture. I have taken this to my local auto repair shop today and was made aware of the problem and told me to look it up and report it. “The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the heater was activated on the instrument panel, but the A/C inadvertently turned on and then returned to heat. The instrument panel then malfunctioned, rendering the navigation system inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. “The uconnect touch screen is delaminating. It is causing issues with being able to use the backup camera with accuracy because the delamination causes a visual distortion. Also, it has been causing issues with the controls where it repeatedly gets stuck and ghost touches options in the vehicle while driving, which is concerning. The delamination started as a small spot and has rapidly increased to half the screen. This is clearly a widespread chronic issue/defect with many Jeep GC models, if you look online. The screen is a big component in operating and functions in the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was shaking. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, however the failure was not duplicated. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact referenced an unknown recall repair which had a similar failure description, however the contact's VIN was not associated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
