Bought this car 3 months ago from Ford dealership, took it to mechanic shop today for oil change and was told car is "unsafe to drive" from frame being so rustedOwner report · Unknown Or Other · Sep 2022
Bought car from a private seller and wasn't informed of MASSIVE and UNSAFE DAMAGE TO ENGINE CRADLE. The engine cradle is nearly completely rotted out. Don't know if rust has eroded other parts until a mechanic can look extensively at the engine cradle. I have been trying salvage yards and 9 out of the 10 Pacifica's I have inquired about the engine cradle is rotted beyond repair. It has to be replaced. The fee for replacing and labor is going to be anywhere from $400 to $2500. and the vehicle has only 153÷k on it. This is a huge and reoccurring issue with the Chrysler Pacifica after I did research.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Apr 2022
Vehicle shut off WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD out of nowhere after running perfectly fine and since this incident the car won't start at all. Had the car diagnosed and it said it's the "Transmission control module"Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Apr 2022

Noticed a lot of clunking coming from the front of our 2006 pacifica. Looked under vehicle and noticed rust and holes in the engine cradle. Took to my mechanic, he confirmed the engine cradle is about to fail. I contacted burger chrysler in terre haute in. They stated vehicle is not under any recall or safety notice. And fixing it would be out of my pocket. I researched the vehicle on the NHTSA web site. Need less to say I'm ashamed to own one. Chrysler will not stand behind what they mess up.Owner report · Suspension · Mar 2021
I bought this vehicle under the impression it needed a motor mount to find out that the sub frame is rotten to the point it's a safety issue to drive. The rest of the details may not be of interest to you but I am the surviving spouse of a deceased veteran and mother of his two children. I've been struggling to recuperate since their father's death and heaven unable to do to the pandemic that's what I was about to my daily drivers engine seized and I exhausted all my resources buying this vehicle that is now deemed unsafe any help you can give me would be greatly appreciatedOwner report · Unknown Or Other · Jan 2021
While drive turning left though a traffic light on pilot knob and 160th in farmington my car stalled wheel lock up paddle felt like it had gotten stuck for a second and there in the middle of the intersection my car had completely stalled out with my children in the vehicle to wear I had two trucks pull over that had two stranger men that came over to push me out of the intersection out of danger when pulled off to the side of the road turn the car over and it did turn back on but because of the incident that I just happened I was not taking any chances of having it stalled going through a traffic intersection with my children in the car again so I had it towed homeOwner report · Vehicle Speed Control · Nov 2020
I bought the car and 2 months later when I went to change the oil I noticed about hald my engine cradle gone due to rustOwner report · Engine · Nov 2020
I brought my car in for inspection. I also wanted them to check the muffler. I was contacted by the garage, they were not able to inspect the vehicle because the subframe under the engine is completely rusted away. They said even if they could replace the muffler there would be nothing to attach it to. That's how deteriorated it is. I would like to know if there is any recourse I have ? I would like chrysler to be responsible for this defect. Thank you, larry la bellaOwner report · Structure · Oct 2020
I took my car in today to have shocks put on and was informed the engine cradle was so severely rusted the rack and pinion was about to drop out of the car along with the motor. I drive on the highway everyday and this would have broke in the next week or so and I would probably be severely injured or worse.Owner report · Engine · Sep 2020
