The motor seized. My life was at risk. I was on the highway. The vehicle was reported to the Chevy dealership and diagnose that the motor is locked.Owner report · Engine · Aug 2026
Transmission failed at 38,000 miles. Downshifted violently while driving and couldn't keep up with the 35mph speed limit. Was luckily not on a highway or far from home. Dealership noted it's a common valve body issue in the transmission. No inspections, vehicle has a branded title (hail) and Chevy claims no responsibility for the transmission failure. 0 warning signs or issues.Owner report · Power Train · Aug 2026

I was driving down the road and all of a sudden the check engine light came on, the check the parking brake light came on, and the service electronic stability control system light came on. The engine then started making a knocking sound. These trucks have a known lifter issue. I had a 2021 that had the same problem. It was still under warranty so I was able to get out from under it. This one isn't and they want $9,000 to replace the engine. There is a recall on the 6.2 liter but not for the 5.3 liter for some reason. These engines have an issueOwner report · Engine · Jul 2026
While driving 65mph on the highway the engine locked up and shut down. There was a loss of propulsion and steering making it difficult to safely maneuver off the highway.Owner report · Engine · Jul 2026
Engine sudden loss of propulsion while driving on interstate w/out warning. Pulled to side and check engine light and hot oil warning came on prior to engine dying. Had to call tow and dealer says engine needs to be replaced but they won't ship vehicle back after repair and it's 4 hours from my house, that I need to pick it upOwner report · Engine · Jul 2026
Vehicle's replacement motor from GM recall (2nd motor) failed at 6200 miles. Rear tires briefly lock up causing slight swerving before the system shifted to "N"eutral. Upon restart, starter was unable to crank over seized engine. DTC confirmed P0016 crank shaft position out of alignment.Owner report · Engine · Jul 2026
An internal transmission Output Shaft Speed Sensor (OSS) failure causes the vehicle to enter "limp mode" and shift violently, creating a risk of rear-end collisions or loss of control, according to the report. A GM dealer confirmed diagnostic codes P0722 and P0700, isolating the issue to an internal component after an inspection of the external wiring harness.Owner report · Power Train · Jul 2026
Truck stutters and idles terrible. Vehicle warning light keeps saying, reduce acceleration and drive safely. Two years ago an injector went bad, and it was fixed. 6 months ago, we had it in the shop, of course still under the 60k mile warranty. Said it was fixed, it wasn't. Just had it back there, and they replaced the the torque converter. Shaking stopped for a month. Now it is even worse. Believe it is faulty injectors. Sadly, we're not passed the 60k warranty period and feel unsafe driving our truck which we need every single day. Truck is nearly paid off and feel like we got jipped as this truck continues to have problems after problemsOwner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Jul 2026
Truck continues to shutter after having the torque converter replaced and the 2nd injector replaced. Been in the shop several times over the last few years, and still giving warnings on the dash saying, reduce acceleration drive safely. Feel like we just got a terrible vehicle. Almost paid off, and it's just unreliable. Sadly we need this truck every single day, and the local dealerships have now pushed the problem out so far that we're passed out 60k warranty period.Owner report · Engine · Jul 2026
