I have had to have the rear tailgate repaired twice, First time the tailgate would not lift, this was in Sept 2024, then the rear lower tailgate would not open it just jammed and the upper tailgate failed after repairin the lower costing me over $2000 in repairs for the 2nd repair. The contact owns a 2020 Land Rover Range rover 3.0. The contact stated while driving on the highway heard loud bang, no warning lights illuminated, continued to drive. white grayish Smoke coming from underneath the vehicle and a burning oil smell. There was also a lot of oil spots visible underneath the vehicle. Pulled off the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with engine failure caused by timing components. Loss of all driving power. Gave fail code of Battery fail. We relpaced the battwry and still didnt work. Then were told we needed to replace the alternator. Replaced alternator and still failed. Upon having my tires balanced and aligned I was informed that my fuel tank is rusting out. There is a current recall from January of last year that is affecting surround view cameras not currently working. My vehicle is experiencing the same issue but is not showing listed in the recall. Due to cameras not working it puts my safety and other at risk as I am not able to see when backing up or the surrounding areas especially when towing. A dealership may be looking into it soon as this issue just began. No other warning the cameras just don't turn or are blurry, fuzzy and flicker. This includes all cameras. Stopped on main road to perform a left turn, car stopped during the turn and then lurched forward. The car then became inoperable and would not go into gear. Gear selector was not available and car kept cutting out. I could not move the vehicle out of traffic and I had to sit in moving traffic with my hazard lights flashing. Husband came and sat in the car, waited 15 mins, started the car and overruled the car allowing him to move the car off the road and out of moving traffic.Owner report · Power Train · Oct 2023

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Land Rover Range Rover PHEV and 2019-2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport PHEV vehicles. The water pump pulley drive belt may become damaged or detach, which can allow the engine to overheat. An overheated engine can rupture the engine coolant elbow pipe, leaking coolant onto the turbocharger heat shield.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the engine coolant elbow and the turbocharger feed coolant pipe, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 19, 2023. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N785.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA24V023000 · Jan 2024

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System. Water may enter into the rearview camera, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the rearview camera and add a new seal or replace the camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed to Range Rover owners March 4, 2024. Interim notification letters were mailed to Range Rover Sport owners March 7, 2024. Range Rover Sport owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N778.

BACK OVER PREVENTION:WARNINGS:EXTERNAL/PEDESTRIAN ALERT23V031000 · Jan 2023

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Range Rover PHEV and 2020-2022 Range Rover Sport PHEV vehicles. The vehicles fail to make sufficient pedestrian warning sounds when stationary and in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles."

Remedy: Dealers will update the audio amplifier software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 16, 2023. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N742.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION23V044000 · Feb 2023

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Range Rover Sport, 2020-2023 Range Rover, Defender, 2022-2023 Discovery, and 2023 Range Rover Velar vehicles. The engine cam carrier oil channel may be blocked, which can lead to an oil leak.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the engine cam carrier and related components as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 29, 2023. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N763.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE21V117000 · Feb 2021

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, and Range Rover Velar vehicles. The Auto High Beam (AHB) system does not indicate through the instrument cluster when the high beams are illuminated automatically. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall began April 7, 2021. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N556.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:DC/DC CONVERTER26V248000 · Apr 2026

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar and Land Rover Discovery, 2020-2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2019-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Range Rover, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Defender, 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace, and 2021-2022 Jaguar E-Pace mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs.) The DC-DC converter can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip. A failure of the DC-DC converter will result in a loss of 12-Volt system charging and can lead to complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting.

Remedy: The remedy for this recall is currently under development. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 17, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D126 and H575.
