There was no warning or signs of prior coolant leakage before this incident. Happened suddenly without warning. Dealer found coolant pipe assembly part number LR100352 split at seam. This is the fourth failure of the same part number, same failure within a three year period and 30000 miles. All parts where Land Rover parts supplied by dealership. “The center display screen turns black and stays that way for long periods of time. The climate control turns itself off and on. The backup display video stays on even after moving into drive and reaching the required speeds. “Vehicle went from park to reverse by itself. Drivers door was wide open when my wife started vehicle and by it self it engaged in reverse and ran the door into a wall. The vehicle almost ran over my wife while she was attempting to exit the vehicle. Luckily she was able to jump back in and push the brake to stop the car. My son was behind the car loading items. “There was a recall on this vehicle for the backup camera not engaging, land rover campaign n637. I have brought it in to the dealer three times to have this repaired. “Rotary controller for gear was in park position. Driver exited the vehicle with driver door open and both feet on ground when vehicle suddenly shifted into reverse gear. Driver was unable to jump back into vehicle to press on brakes and was forced under the open vehicle door. Occupants including a baby were in the back seat. Vehicle crashed into a building with driver door impact bending forward to slow the crash before striking a tree and coming to stop. Vehicle is a total loss with frame and roof damage, pillar damage extensive front/side and rear damage, door was nearly torn off hinge.”Owner report · Power Train · Nov 2019

“Tl* the contact owns a 2018 land rover range rover. While driving 72 mph with the cruise control activated, the vehicle stopped on its own. As a result, the vehicle rolled into the right lane and almost crashed into another vehicle. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to land rover palm beach (7550 okeechobee blvd, west palm beach, (561) 209-7000) where the mechanic test drove the vehicle and found no failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 2,400. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018 Land Rover Range Rover, Land Rover Range Rover Sport and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. The Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system may be disabled without warning the driver that the system is not functional.
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall began October 17, 2018. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837, Option 9. Land Rover's number for this recall is N227.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System. Water may enter into the rearview camera, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the rearview camera and add a new seal or replace the camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed to Range Rover owners March 4, 2024. Interim notification letters were mailed to Range Rover Sport owners March 7, 2024. Range Rover Sport owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N778.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, and Range Rover Velar vehicles. The Auto High Beam (AHB) system does not indicate through the instrument cluster when the high beams are illuminated automatically. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall began April 7, 2021. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N556.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with Continental Surround Camera Systems. The back-up camera system may fail to display the rearview image when the vehicle is in reverse.
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the infotainment system software, free of charge. The recall began October 2, 2019. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N367.
