The ABS control module has internal problem which shuts down the module. Results of the module shut down includes: -The stability and traction systems are offline. -A failure in the ABS module or hydraulic unit. -Cruise Control inoperable. -The module no longer modulates brake pressure, which can result in brakes locking. Currently, Mopar has stopped production of this item, so there is no method to replace a failed or non-working module with an original part.Owner report · Service Brakes · May 2026
ABS module failure without cause. New modules no longer being produced. Lack of anti braking system is a huge safety concern. Vehicle was looked at by a mechanic. Brake light, stability control light, and ABS light all came on at the same time at the time of failure. Vehicle was in park and turned on at the time of failure.Owner report · Service Brakes · May 2026

Code C2200 Multiple visits to shop. Part is on indefinite backorder. Brakes lock up when quick needed, traffic/other driver pull out in front of me Showed up 4 months agoOwner report · Service Brakes · Mar 2026
The ABS module (68259556AD) on my 2016 JKU is not working (code C2200) and the part is not available anywhere. I tried buying online and reaching out to a dealership, but everyone acknowledges Stellantis doesn't have the part available. There are posts on Jeep forums from 2023 from people with the same issue which is causing their Jeeps to go into limp mode at highway speeds. I feel unsafe driving my car and there's no current way to fix this issue.Owner report · Service Brakes · Mar 2026
ABS Module has gone bad. Has an internal communication error. This is typical on these vehicles. The problem is getting a part from Chrysler. The modules have been on back order for years and there's no sign of getting a fix. The vehicle is unsafe to drive but we are left with no choice but to continue to drive it. Why hasn't anything been done to kick them in gear and get replacement parts made?Owner report · Service Brakes · Feb 2026
The ABS control module has failed. Anti-lock brake and stability management systems, in addition to vehicle descent control are malfunctioning. This renders the vehicle extremely unstable and difficult to drive. Stellantis is aware of the problem and reports no replacement parts are available and has not issued a recall. The vehicle has low milage and has never been in an accident.Owner report · Service Brakes · Feb 2026
ABS Module Part# 68259556AC has failed. (Replacement part is 68259556AD) Stellantis/Jeep has not provided a replacement part for over three years. This affects all Jeep Wranglers 2014-2018. We have no ABS and no traction control in our Jeeps. We need help.Owner report · Service Brakes · Jan 2026
I have a faulty ABS module, throwing code c2200. The part has been on order for over 2 months with no end in site. We are being told told that this is not a safety issue. How can we get this resolved???Owner report · Service Brakes · Nov 2025
ABS module started to fail about a year ago but was only recently identified (within the last two weeks). ABS module listed for back order with more than 500 orders ahead of mine within Jeep dealership system. Order placed outside of dealership via Mopar website but listed as shipping next month (16-28 December).Owner report · Service Brakes · Nov 2025
