“Tl* the contact owns a 1995 gmc yukon. The contact stated while driving 35 mph the vehicle went "idle" and stalled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the technician diagnosed possible electrical issues. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. “Brakes lock unexpectedly at low speeds. Often without brake pedal pressure, and always without warning. Problem has existed for about six months. Several mechanics (including gmc) have tried to identify the problem. Each had an expensive solution, none of which has worked. This is a very dangerous condition which is destined to cause an accident. There are other complaints of this type (same make model and year) on your website. *jb”Owner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Nov 2005
“Brake lines near the master cylinder rusted to the point of complete brake failure. Luckily, I was in a parking lot when it happened and was able to recover using the emergency brake. I do not drive this vehicle on the beach, nor has it ever been in a flood. Brake lines replaced at high cost. *jb”Owner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Oct 2005

“Dt: the anti-lock brakes pulsated at low speeds. The consumer could feel it in the pedal and could slightly hear it kick in. It did this on dry roads NHTSA recall 05v279000 was issued in august 2005. But this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN. Went to the dealer and basically said the recall would not go into affect until november 2005. Started noticing this around july 15, 2005, and it did this occasionally.*ak *jb”Owner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Jul 2005
“Failure of driver seat mounting on the window side. *mr the consumer found that the mounting holes, one on each corner of the seat, were retrofitted on the window-side (front & rear) by spot welding a threaded washer about three inches to the right of the corner holes to facilitate mounting of the seat to the rail on the floorboard. This particular design caused metal fatigue surrounding the spot-welded washers, resulting in the seat breaking loose. *sc *jb”Owner report · Seats · Aug 2004

“Fuel lines rusted to the point of failure. The vehicle wouldn't start and had to be towed. “Headlight failure at night while driving my 1995 gmc yukon, two times in the last two months. Have tried to get information from gmc on how to have my local gmc dealership fix the problem. Gmc response was to take it to the dealer and they will figure it out. How long could that take at my expense? According to what I have seen on the internet the 1995-96 yukon's were subject to this problem. Therefore gmc should be able to tell their dealer how to fix the problem. I would appreciate your help. Thank you.*jb”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Mar 2003
