I had stopped at an intersection and when I applied the gas, the truck stuttered a bit before going. It ran okay for less than a mile. I stopped at the next intersection and when I applied the gas, the truck shuttered, started to go then just stopped. It stayed running but didn't want to go. I was able to get it through the intersection but that was it. The message i am getting is powertrain malfunction/reduced power. When we put our diagnosis tool on it, we get code P0757.Owner report · Power Train · Jul 2026
Ford has 25N09 addressing the axles for the 2022 Ford Mavericks built later in the 2021 year, but mine was built in September of 21. I have axle issues as well, and this is the first vehicle I've ever had that's this new and has clunking in the CV axles. Mine clunks loudly, and the truck has 114k on it.Owner report · Power Train · May 2026
I was trying to turn and the wheel kept kicking back the other direction. About a week prior to this as I was driving down the road all of a sudden the wheel threw me across a median and into incoming traffic almost causing multiple accidents. I have a video of it but it won't allow me to upload it. [XXX] However this link should play it. When the battery voltage suddenly drops the vehicle loses its power steering making slow speed turns extremely difficult. This poses a serious risk of the inability to control the direction of the vehicle and this makes a crash extremely probable.Owner report · Electrical System · Apr 2026
NHTSA #26V104: I purchased this vehicle to rent it out on Turo (a vehicle sharing platform). It was de-listed from Turo on March 18 due to NHTSA #26V104 recall being unresolved. I have been unable to rent my vehicle since then and Ford has not provided a remedy to this recall. I would like to log a complaint that this software fix remedy has taken too long.Owner report · Service Brakes · Mar 2026

Driver side door limiter welds broke loose. Ford said they had to replace the entire door and it was not covered by warranty. The dealer said that this happened to a bunch of Ford Escapes, but they did not have a recall for the Maverick yet.Owner report · Structure · Feb 2026
In cold weather -6F The cover over the positive terminal used to jump start the vehicle is impossible to remove. This causes a situation where the vehicle can not be jump started or render assistance to another that needs jump started. The issue stems from the fact that the plastic cover over the positive terminal is unable to bend when it is cold and can not be "unclipped".Owner report · Electrical System · Jan 2026
