The contact stated while driving at various speeds and attempting to turn to the right or left, the steering wheel became stiff, and difficult to maneuver the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed; however, the contact was unaware of what needed to be replaced or repaired. “I took my vehicle to spradley ford dealership for service regarding recalls 16s42 and 18s24. The dealership reports resolving 16s42 by servicing the seat belt tensioners. The dealership refused to address recall 18s24 because I did not have the charging cable inside the vehicle. I spoke with service staff on 3 occasions prior to picking up my vehicle and at no time did they request or inform me to bring the cable to the dealership. As a result, the contact's vehicle was pushed into oncoming traffic, which lead to a head on collision. The air bag failed to deploy. The driver sustained injuries, received medical attention, and later died. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and deemed destroyed. An independent mechanic diagnosed that a part within the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to latrobe ford (located at 1595 mission rd, latrobe, pa 15650, (724) 537-7723) where it was diagnosed that the trans inverter control module needed to be replaced due to a short circuit in the transmission. “Car would not start with key in ignition; jumped 12v battery to take to dealer. 12v battery replaced 3/20/18 ($210). On 6/10/2018, again, car would not start. Was told by dealer they didn't know why new battery not working; replaced, 12v again ($0 under warranty). On 7/19/2018, again, vehicle not starting; absolutely no electronic display in dash, therefore, looks to be 12v battery problem, again.
