Wife was driving on the interstate when the vehicle revved up and then a loss of power. had to drive home while vehicle was popping and still loss of power. I took to an Independent Service Center, and they started a tune up with changing plugs. They checked vehicle and advised that it was possibly a lifter failure, but they couldn't fix it. I took to another independent service person and after a diagnostic check and looking into the engine it was confirmed it was a lifter issue. 2019 Silverado experienced sudden engine failure while driving, creating a safety hazard. Had taken vehicle to Serpentine in Tallmadge Ohio for brake repair as well as a ticking sound a couple of times within the past 2 years. Each time the complaint regarding the noise it made was not addressed or documented as they said it was the brakes. While driving the truck, it started clanking and banging, smoking and spewed oil all over engine and ground. The truck is completely inoperable.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · May 2026
The lifters failed at 106634 miles. This caused the motor to lose power while driving. The dealer confirmed and said a new engine was needed. There were no warnings just immediate failure of a part Chevrolet knows very well is an issue but won't do anything about.Owner report · Engine · May 2026
While driving my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the brakes unexpectedly locked up and multiple warning messages appeared at the same time, including "Service ESC." There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms before the incident. The problem occurred without warning while the vehicle was being driven normally. The sudden brake application made the vehicle difficult to control and created a significant safety risk because it could have caused a loss of control or a collision with other vehicles. The vehicle is available for inspection. At the time of this report, the exact cause of the failure is unknown.Owner report · Service Brakes · May 2026
