What is going on and how it gets diagnosed
P0354 is the coil D control circuit. Coils fail more often when they have been working harder than they should - worn spark plugs raise the voltage a coil must produce, and a coil asked for that extra voltage for tens of thousands of miles gives up early.
That is why replacing a single coil without looking at the plugs frequently leads to a second coil failing months later. If the plugs are near or past their service interval, changing them alongside the coil is the repair that actually ends the problem.
