I am concerned the engine could lose power while driving. I took it to a Ford dealership, where the advisor verbally confirmed coolant inside an engine cylinder and reported codes P0302 and P0316. The vehicle reserve coolant tank is showing low and in need of coolant after a recent oil/fluid service. This likely is the beginning of the known issue of coolant intrusion into this 2017 2.0L Ecoboost engine. This results in the need to replace the longblock of this vehicle. The design is a known defect and the vehicle has less than 55000 miles. The vehicle is scheduled for repairs on September 8, 2026.
