Bought my car in 2019. Was unaware of coolant intrusion problem on my vehicle. Check engine light came on and mechanic just quoted me $13,000 to fix.Owner report · Engine · Jul 2026
Known Coolant intrusion issue came up with the 2.0 Ecoboost. Began to lag on takeoff causing unsafe acceleration profiles. Took to dealership who confirmed poor design was the root cause.Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Jul 2026

When driving all of a sudden I feel the car loose power as I accelerated the car just reeved up and slowed down to a full stop. I put it in park turned it off sat for a few minutes. Restarted the car and put it in drive the engine RPM made a reving sounds but did not engage. I had to wait for a tow truck. When the tow truck arrived he started the car and drove it on the ram and locked it in and drove the car to my home. Tow truck driver unlocked my car and drove it off the bed of his truck. The car starts and that is it. It will dive a few feet then disengage.Owner report · Power Train · Jun 2026
My 2019 Ford Fusion has been diagnosed with the prominent EcoBoost Coolant Intrusion defect requiring a newer 2020+ redesigned engine replacement. Ford is refusing to replace it or provide any discounts even though it's clearly a engineering defect. The vehicle has just 38,500 miles in 7 years of ownership. It has been regularly well maintained & not driven hard. This is inexcusable that Ford is not standing behind their product that has a plethora of well documented failures on these particular flawed design engines, namely the 2.0L EcoBoost that came in this vehicle.Owner report · Engine · Jun 2026
All four tires separated at the bead, catastrophic tire failure. Thank goodness they went flat in the driveway and not traveling at 65 mph on the interstate. 235/50R/17. These are 80,000 mile tires and this occurred at 35,500 miles. Purchase from Costco and when we went back they basically told us they would only warranty 20% of tire even though the warranty should have been 50%.Owner report · Tires · May 2026
2019 Ford Fusion with 82,362 miles- just told engine coolant leaking into the cylinder walls and engine replacement is needed. Dealer said Do not drive it! This is a known problem with this model and Ford has not recalled it. Ford is aware and have sent TS Bulletins to their service departments but why NOT recall. My daughter's safety has been at risk and now the value is worthless Or an engine replacement. I cannot reach any leadership from Ford, just a call center which is telling me nothing can be done.Owner report · Engine · May 2026
transmission cable bushing failed. I see there is a recall for older models. The shift cable came off the transmission just like the recall problem had. this left my car stuck in reverse so i could not move the car or start it after I turned it off and I could not get it off the street.Owner report · Power Train · May 2026
Very frequently, the rear view camera will stop working, glitch and go black. Then give the message, camera is unavailableOwner report · Unknown Or Other · May 2026
This vehicle is another of many that is suffering from coolant intrusion due to Fords faulty design. This 2.0 has 68 thousand miles and needs a new engine. This has been a known problem for this engine between 2013 and 2019. We were sold a new car that would be reliable for years, it's not. Now we may be out upwards of $10,000.00 for a car we just paid off a year ago.Owner report · Engine · Mar 2026
