Fuel line connecting to the gas tank was found completely disconnected, causing a strong gasoline odor, significant spilled gasoline and multiple warning lights including hybrid malfunction. There is an orange plastic clip that connects the flexible tube from the tank to the rigid fuel line that runs to the engine and this clip was found detatched. Dealer confirmed that the fuel rail line disconnected. Dealer suspects poor seating of connector retainer clip from factory. Review of various Land Cruiser online forums report multiple similar incidents. Dealer indicated Toyota is aware of and investigating this issue.Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Jul 2026
I own a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 250 that I purchased in February 2025. Every time it rains, my car develops a strong musty, mildew-like smell inside the cabin. It usually fades after a few days of dry weather. This has been happening since I first got the car. It’s very annoying thing to happen on a new vehicle.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Jun 2026
Purchased a new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser in September 2025. This SUV is prone to windshield damage due to its pitch angle. 4/16/2026 traveling on highway a flying road rock cracked the windshield. The windshield was replaced on 4/23/2026. On 4/25/2026, while traveling on highway another rock chipped the windshield. This seems to ba a defect and a potential hazard. I have also noticed that the windshield gets more bug/insect encounter than my other land cruisers (I have had 2002, 2006 and 2016 LC). This seems to be a major problem with the windshield. Web search seems to also confirm this defect with other newer/remodeled LC owners.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Apr 2026

Several of us on the Toyota forum are noting that the portion of the sunroof positioned toward the rear seat does not form a proper seal and is letting water into the vehicle. This in turn puts electronics at risk or being compromised and unsafe driving conditions.Owner report · Structure · Feb 2026

The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid equipped with Yokohama Tires, Tire Line: Geolandar X-CV, Tire Size: 265/60/R20, DOT Number: 14UOHY6L2462. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 60 MPH, the rear driver's side tire unexpectedly experienced a blowout. A tire message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact's wife pulled over and had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic, who replaced the rear driver's side tire. The tire was original equipment. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The tire manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 5,000.Owner report · Tires · Nov 2025
As I was driving with my family at normal freeway speeds, a loud explosion rang out from the top of vehicle. The sunroof glass exploded and fell onto us below. There was no other cars near us, and no overpass. When the glass exploded, it sounded like a bomb, and appeared pressure was the reason, as it exploded upward, leaving the shape of an exploded volcano on the top of the sunroof. No rock or other object could have caused this from the outside: the impact would have had to come from inside of the vehicle. The vehicle is currently at the dealership being inspected.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Sep 2025
Intermittent delayed upshifts with slipping sensation, most noticeable between 1st and 2nd gear under light throttle. Occurs approximately 3–4 times per week. Condition has been present since approximately 5,000 miles. Dealer has documented two repair visits and written 'drives normal' on both repair orders despite the condition persisting. Toyota North America was contacted and promised dealer follow-up that never occurred.Owner report · Power Train · Sep 2025
The Land Cruiser sent me to the ER for 6 staples in my head. When reaching in through the rear window I hit my head on the sharp camera mount. It has a very hard edge that is also mounted much lower than the window opening.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Aug 2025
From 3,000 miles to now 8,300 miles, it started occasionally when you put it in reverse a loud squeal, like the brakes are going bad, now it’s literally every time you put it in reverse. Dealership said “most all of new Toyota suv and full size truck are doing it, and there’s nothing they can doOwner report · Service Brakes · Jul 2025
