23000 miles on truck, hard down and up shifting at slower speeds causing lurching when stopping and starting, often when trying to merge into traffic or stop for traffic signals or pedestrians, also at times will not go through the whole range of gears when trying to get up to highway speed to run with the traffic flow. ( 9 speed transmission)Owner report · Power Train · Oct 2025
I heard an audible rattling sound at certain RPMs primarily underload. Upon looking under the vehicle found the issue was the result of the exhaust hangars not being torqued properly and coming loose. The exhaust hanger just behind the transmission had loosened so much that one bolt fell out entirely. Picture provided notice one bolt missing.Owner report · Engine · Jul 2024

The truck was parked on hill and as I unlocked it, it rolled down 2 blocks. Hit a brick wall and finally went into a yard and hit a parked car. This is the second time this truck has rolled down. First time, I was able to catch it but this time I couldn't. It was horrific to witness.Owner report · Service Brakes · Mar 2024
Transmission shifting is abrasive particularly when coming to a stop. Vehicle lurches forward when transmission shifts from 2nd to 1st. Loss of control imminent when traveling on slick surfaces. I have brought this to the attention of my local dealership and was told there are no warning lights illuminated so the transmission is working correctly. They also stated that this is a common complaint with no remedy?Owner report · Power Train · Nov 2023
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Titan. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Nov 2023
When coming to a stop, my truck will lurch forward and will pull through normal braking, requiring increased braking pedal force to avoid a front collision. This does not happen at every stop, but often enough to be extremly concerning. This has been occurring since I bought the truck new. Truck now has just under 5,000 miles on the odometer and has not improved. I need a solution as I cannot allow anyone in my family to drive my truck for fear of accident.Owner report · Power Train · Oct 2023
Nissan Titan Pro-4X 4WD was bought new from dealership. Have had issues with the truck downshifting hard when slowing down since purchase. The truck lurches forward under 5MPH - 10MPH and feels like you are being rearended by another vehicle. Identical issue to NHTSA complaints 11578467 and 11539769. Have voiced my concerns to the Nissan dealership I have maintenance completed at. They cannot recreate the problem or diagnosis the issue. They cited it may be a software issue. Have voiced concerns and continued issue with every standardized oil chain/tire rotation and scheduled maintenance appointments. No resolution to the issue has been made.Owner report · Power Train · Jul 2023
