“The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Titan. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the rear end of the vehicle when the vehicle drove over into an object on the roadway. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the rear subframe needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. “Tl* the contact owns a 2011 nissan titan. While attempting to reverse out of the driveway, the contact heard a thumping sound. The contact exited the vehicle and noticed that the driver's side was leaning low, and the strut and spring assembly bracket detached from the frame and was pushed into the wheel well. The vehicle was driven to the dealer (lee nissan in auburn, maine) and has remained there since february 23, 2018 awaiting a decision from the manufacturer. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2008-2011 Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, and 2008-2009 Quest vehicles. The resin emblem on the driver's air bag cover may develop cracks and detach during air bag deployment.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver's airbag cover. Owner letters were mailed December 8, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall are PC944, PC945, and PC946.
