“The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that while driving and attempting to close the sunroof, the sunroof made an abnormal popping sound. The contact pulled over and attempted to close the sunroof, but the sunroof failed to close. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V197000 (Structure); however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted. “Upon starting engine while parked the engine vibrated roughly then stopped. Engine light and coolant light illuminated but shut off. Vehicle proceeded as normal, however, as I proceeded for the highway about 1 - 1/2 blocks and approximately 1,200 feet before approaching highway the vehicle 1200 abruptly lost acceleration; engine light and coolant light illuminated again, then engine abruptly shut down in the middle of the road causing a severe safety hazard. Putting myself and others at risk. There were no symptoms of the problems prior to the failure. “I was driving on the hwy 94 in Minneapolis and I had the cap to my sunroof fly off on the freeway. There's a recall out on the sale vehicle but 4matic but not on my vin number. This is a huge safety issue and it's been happening to quite a few people I know. “Engine stuttered violently while driving 40mph. Check engine light was coming on and off. I immediately pulled to the roadside for my safety. I put the vehicle in park and cycled the ignition and the problem disappeared. the vehicle stuttered twice a few miles as I was taking the vehicle to the garage. I haven't had it serviced yet. “The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that the convertible top support were fraying. The contact stated the parts were almost the thickness of a shoelace and enabled the convertible top to fold correctly when the top was folding down. The contact stated that the Part Number was A2057780500. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the entire convertible top needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the PCM required a software update. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. “The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated while driving, the vehicle failed to exceed 15 MPH. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was scanned, and the mechanic retrieved fault codes indicating a failure with the high-pressure fuel pump. The contact was informed that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. “The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the contact noticed smoke coming from the front passenger's side wheel well. The vehicle was driven to the residence. Upon arriving at the residence, the contact raised the hood, and became that clear liquid was burning on the engine. The contact stated that after completing an investigation, it was determined that the clear liquid was the result of a leaking fuel line. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2019 C300 vehicles. The center console lock-system might not lock properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 201, "Occupant Protection In Interior Impact."
Remedy: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will check the center console storage compartment, and replace it, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began October 30, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2020100006.

The Central Powertrain Controller (CPC) control unit could reset while driving, possibly causing an engine stall.

A correctly fastened seatbelt may be inaccurately detected as being unfastened, preventing the seat belt pre-tensioners from activating in the event of a crash.

A locknut in the steering rack may break under high load, possibly causing the steering to become stuck in one position.

An error in the communication module's SIM card software can cause a mobile network connection failure, disabling the emergency call (eCall) system.
Remedy: The communication module software will be updated through an Over-the-Air (OTA) update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 8, 2022. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2017-2020 C300 Coupe, C43 Coupe AMG, C43 AMG, 2015-2020 C300, GLA250, 2016-2018 C350e, CLA45 Coupe AMG, 2015 C400, S65 AMG, 2015-2019 C63 AMG, 2016 C450, 2015-2016 GLA45 AMG, S600, 2016-2020 GLC300, 2017-2019 GLC43 AMG, GLE43 Coupe AMG, 2014-2019 CLA250 Coupe, 2014-2015 CLA45 AMG, 2018 GLC63 AMG, 2014-2017 S550, 2018-2020 S450, 2016-2019 GLE63 Coupe AMG, 2016 GLE450 Coupe, 2014-2020 S63 AMG, 2018-2019 S560, and 2019 GLC350e vehicles equipped with a panoramic sunroof. The front roof panel located between the windshield and the panoramic sunroof may not have been bonded correctly to the vehicle during a prior repair.
Remedy: Mercedes-Benz dealer will remove the bonded panel and will install a new front panel by following the detailed repair instructions and using the approved primer, cleaner and adhesive, free of charge. Mercedes-Benz LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2018-2020 C300, 2019-2020 A220, AMG C43, AMG C63, 2020 GLE580, GLB250, 2020-2021 GLE450, GLE350, 2021 AMG GLE63, and AMG GLE53 vehicles. The LED headlights may have been incorrectly adjusted during a vehicle repair. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Remedy: Dealers will replace the LED headlights, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed August 13, 2021. A second notice will be sent once the remedy is available. Owner notification letters were mailed January 2022. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2019 C300, C300 Coupe, CLS450, E450 Coupe and S450, 2017-2019 E300, 2018 E400 Coupe, E400 Stationwagon, and 2018-2019 S560 vehicles that have previously had the instrument cluster replaced. The software in the replaced instrument cluster may cause the seat belt warning system to not operate properly, only displaying a solid warning light if either the driver or passenger seat belt is unfastened, instead of a blinking light with an audible tone.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Remedy: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will check the retraction function of the front seat belts and adjust the damping foam within the B-pillars, as necessary, free of charge. Remedy: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the communication module and activate it, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 31, 2021. During the manufacturing process, particles may have been trapped between the fuel rail and injectors, which can cause a fuel leak.

Mercedes-Benz USA,LLC (Mercedes) is recalling certain 2019 C43 AMG, C43 AMG Cabrio, C43 AMG 4MATIC Coupe, C300 4MATIC, C300 4MATIC Coupe, C300 Coupe, C300 Cabrio, C300 4MATIC Cabrio, and C300 vehicles. After parking and exiting the vehicle, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) software may prevent the electronic parking brake from being disengaged when returning to the vehicle, unless the ESP system is deactivated.
