The seat belts stopped retracting so we sprayed some wd40 in there to make sure everything can move but the seatbelts safety stop keeps engaging when you're trying to pull out the seatbelt. After a few times of getting the seatbelts out to use them they get stuck. They are not functioning at all how they should.Owner report · Seat Belts · Mar 2023
My 2014 Lincoln MKT has two moonroofs. The first one exploded on 9/12/22 while driving the car on a sunny, wind free day. Sounded like a gunshot hit the glass and was frightening. Car is 8 years old at time of incident. I see this has been an ongoing issue with Ford/Lincoln since 2007. These parts need t be recalled. The glass alone is $3300 with total 3 day repair over $5K! Had to find a glass vendor who could shrink wrap exterior/interior so glass would not fall into vehicle and rain would not enter vehicle. See class action lawsuits have been previously filed.Owner report · Visibility · Sep 2022
The contact owns a 2014 Lincoln MKT. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the panoramic sunroof shattered without incident. The contact initially thought that the failure was linked to his tires; however, upon inspection of his tires, he found no defect. The contact then discovered that his sunroof had shattered into several pieces. The vehicle was initially towed to an independent mechanic where he was provided an estimate for the repair. The contact called a dealer to schedule an appointment for a second opinion. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and denied ever hearing of such a failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.Owner report · Visibility · Apr 2022
November 21, 2021, while driving on the HWY at about 65 MPH, the forward panoramic moon roof exploded. Simply exploded. Not hit by anything - no cars or trucks in front of us. Thank goodness, we had the interior part closed, or it would have exploded all over us. This was a very loud explosion! Thank goodness I did not lose control of the car.Owner report · Structure · Nov 2021

My 2014 lincoln mkt panoramic roof exploded with no warning while driving. Ford is claiming this is a repair for which I need to pay. I believe this is a dangerous defect that needs to be recalled. There are several documented instances of this happening with the 2014 lincon mkt. I was driving 20mph and turning when the roof explodedOwner report · Unknown Or Other · May 2021
19 jan 2021 - front moonroof glass exploded out at 69 miles per hour with no other vehicles around, no debris around, on i65 southbound at approximately 8:00pm and 61 degrees.
