I recently purchased a 2000 jeep grand cherokee larado with an r title. I was just told there was a recall for the fuel tank exploding upon impact. Jeep recalled the jeeps on the road & had a trailer hitch put on by local garages. Does our vehicle fall under your recall? Can we get a recall, so we can have a hitch put on? I am very worried about having somebody crash into the rear of my jeep. The rear bumper is right next to fuel tank. They are going to install trailer hitches ( for added protection ) on some other year jeeps but not mine !! How can this be fair when they are all built the same way. Please make them fix all of these dangerous autos. Thank you, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *trOwner report · Structure · Aug 2015

Electrical system failure. Windows begin falling down simultaneously, then the vehicle begins shutting off for no apparent reason, then... Your gauges on your dash (speedometer, gas gauge, battery gauge, etc) stop working. Making you unable to tell your speed. Then your vehicle will turn over but not stay crunk. I have spoken with alot of people with jeep grand cherokee's and it has happened to all of them. All jeeps between the year models of 2000 through 2002. *trOwner report · Electrical System · May 2009
