“When changing lanes @ app. 45mph, the car initially felt as if it would roll over. The car then swerved right and left , nearly pushing me into the traffic in the next lane. Steering was very difficult to control, requiring my full strength. After a few minutes, the car straightened and steering effort returned to normal.this occurred on a smooth, 4-lane road which was dry. “The flywheel malfunctioned on my jaguar f-type but jaguar, even though they updated the part numbers for the flywheel and clutch, and despite the fact that any malfunction with the flywheel is going to compromise the clutch assembly as they are connected mechanically, are refusing to change the clutch and only the flywheel. The clutch/flywheel failed catastrophically. The car became harder and harder to shift and then wouldn't go into gear at all. I stopped turned the engine off. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LCC (Jaguar) is recalling one 2016 Jaguar F-Type vehicle manufactured February 3, 2015. The affected vehicle has the power steering system still set in the supplier's factory operating mode. In this condition, in the event of a steering system malfunction, the vehicle can experience additional steering inputs from the electric power steering system.
Remedy: Jaguar will notify the owner, and a dealer will either correct the steering system software or replace the steering rack, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin October 31, 2015. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J055.
