2017 Honda Accord Hybrid: problems, recalls and reliability

“On [XXX] just got off [XXX] driving on [XXX] street when there a red came on on my dashboard, then as if someone else stepped on my accelarator. The Honda Accord 2017 hybrid started accelerating. There were cars in front of me, I believed next to me that I am going to crash into. My only option was to turn to the left to stop the car from me hitting another driver. I went into the divider and hit a tree which stopped the car. My car is in the body shop right now pending estimate and insurance recommendation. R&B Body shop 562 903 1100. Allstate claim # [XXX]. “The driver side air bag did not deploy, however, the passenger side air bag ceployed when we hit a deer at 70 mph! Both air bags should have deployed since we hit the deer in the center of the car! My wife an I are very lucky to be alive! The insurance company inspected the car and considered it to be totaled. The sheriffs department also made an accident report! No warning lights were on at all, I just had the car tuned up and it was in good working condition! Air bags not deploying could be a Hugh issue for Honda in the future! “As I was driving straight about 40 Mph, the steering assist failure warning, lane assist failure warning, and power steering failure warnings all came on at the same time. Had I been going around a curve or turning I would've crashed, because the steering locked up and it was extremely difficult to steer.
