When under one quarter (1/4) of a tank of fuel the vehicle would stall while decelerating (read: hard braking, braking before a turn) without warning, disabling all powered controls including power steering and power braking. Issue would occasionally resolve itself and then come back at random intervals. *trOwner report · Power Train · May 2014

I replaced my front pads and rotors. Been fine for a week till yesterday I stopped at a light brakes felt slightly spongy, not long after maybe ten minutes three cars ahead of me had stopped as I hit the brake my foot went straight to the floor and I smacked the vehicle in front of me doing appx. 35-40 mph. It was a four car pileup I took heavy front end damage more or less totaled the vehicle but the airbags had failed to deploy causing me to hit my head on the steering wheel and suffering a concussion. The seatbelt didn't lock as it should have either therefore causing my whiplash to be severe. *trOwner report · Service Brakes · Aug 2013
The rear brake line keeps giving out even after replacing it and, there is loss of the rear brakes. There has to be some kind of fix that a gmc dealer can provide to resolve this issue. *trOwner report · Service Brakes · Feb 2013
Brake line failed and now noticed all brake lines are rusted about 2 feet from the ABS where they meet at to route down to the frame rails. *trOwner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Oct 2011

Ever since I got my jimmy my driver side door will not stay closed unless I slam it. Now the inside panel is tore off due to the slamming. Everyone I meet after this has the same issue but gmc refuse to recll this problem!!! *trOwner report · Structure · Feb 2010
Loss of stop lights and rear hazard lights. This is the third occurrence for this particular vehicle. Each time I have had to have the multi-function switch replaced at a cost of $395-439. This defect is addressed in campaign # 01v364000 for 200 and 2001, but not my 1999. All use the same gm part number. *trOwner report · Exterior Lighting · Sep 2008
