My f-250 has had every brake caliper lock up and cause total brake system failure and repair. Starting at 40k miles it is out of warranty but there is an obvious defect in the design if every caliper has had this problem. My shop did a repair history search and found that the 2009s had a higher failure rate than other years. I also had the manifold warp and needed replacement at just 40k miles. We own a 2009 ford f250 super duty 4x4, with low miles (21478). This vehicle has run great since we purchased it new. As we were driving, the engine began to run poorly and loose power. The engine light then came on. The mechanic scanner the engine codes p0012-p0018-p0022-p0341-p052d, indicating faulty cam phasers and tensioners, and that the engine was out of time. This pickup has low mileage and all the recommended maintenance has always been done. The ford parts department stated that they keep these parts stocked because it is a common repair issue. *trOwner report · Engine · Jan 2015
Hit a small bump and truck shakes violently. Shaking does not stop until vehicle is slowed down or completely stopped. It has happened 14 times at speeds ranging from 40 mph to 75 mph. Alignment is fine, tires balanced and at 50% life, new shocks, new steering damper and suspension components show no sign of wear. Despite this, problem persists and is actually becoming more frequent. *trOwner report · Suspension · Jan 2015

Leaking radiator hoses causing loss of coolant from engine. Leak is a hazard to environment and wildlife that may come in contact with ethylene glycol. Dealer indicates a design issue exists with radiator hose o-rings and ford has redesigned the hoses to use double o-rings vs. The current single o-ring. *trOwner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Nov 2011
2009 ford super duty: this vehicle completely shut down engine on (3) different occasions while I was driving it. No steering, brakes or control of vehicle was completely lost. I have taken it to ford dealer on every occasion and they said they cannot duplicate the problem. Dangerous. We installed a flight data recorder on the vehicle today to monitor and record this so when it happens again ford cannot deny the facts nd evade the responsibility. *trOwner report · Fuel System, Diesel · Oct 2010

Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LLC (Icon) is recalling all 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.

Remedy: Icon will notify owners, and dealers will install a new shock assembly with a revised foam ring and steel support disc, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2020. Owners may contact Icon customer service at 1-951-689-4266.
