When driving at lower speeds the car jerks/misses. A local Ford dealership confirmed it's the torque converter. Even purchased a warranty that is suppose to cover the issue and even they are being difficult about wanting to fix it!Owner report · Engine · Jul 2026
My 2021 Ford Edge is experiencing a severe transmission defect. When accelerating between 22 mph and 35 mph, the vehicle hesitates, stumbles, and shudders violently (transmission shudder). The transmission struggles to engage gears properly, causing unexpected jerking and a sudden loss of acceleration power. This behavior creates a dangerous driving hazard when merging into traffic or changing lanes. This issue is consistent with Ford's Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 21-2092) regarding the 8F35 8-speed automatic transmission.Owner report · Power Train · Jul 2026

Transmission has gone out after only having the vehicle for 2.5 years. It will cost $10,000 to repair and that is not feasible or right. The mileage is at 74,000 but the warranty expired at 60,000. Ford should be held accountable for building these vehicles with awful transmissions.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Jul 2026
Transmission has gone out with just over 100,000 and will cost $8,000+ to fix! Vehicle is binding/jerking when trying to drive. Online comments appear to indicate Ford is aware of an issue with this vehicle, seems it was not manufactured properly to begin with and consumers were taken advantage of and left in tough circumstances when it fails.Owner report · Power Train · Mar 2026
Purge valve is sticking open when fueling making it to where it take 10 plus minutes to start car after fueling. Worried it will end up causing more issues and possibly cause problems with fuel tankOwner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Mar 2026
Shudder when automatic transmission shifts. Long lag time when vehicle accelerates after throttle is engaged. Can feel and hear knock every time throttle is engaged and disengaged.Owner report · Power Train · Mar 2026
8F35 transmission problem - shuddering and jerking - harsh shifting(delayed acceleration, slipping between gears) The car goes into drive when it's in park. It goes into drive when it is also in reverse. Incredibly dangerous software glitchOwner report · Power Train · Dec 2025
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Edge. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V315000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, who was unable to complete the recall repair because the dealer was waiting on an Override Code from the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was informed of the issue but was unable to help. The contact had not experienced a failure.Owner report · Back Over Prevention · Dec 2025
Splash guard under the vehicle, sometimes also referred to as a diaper, fell down. I reported it to the dealer and was told I didn't need it anyhow. Well, if I didn't need it anyhow why did they put it on to begin with ? I also notice a lot of other Ford vehicles driving down the road with these guards (diapers) hanging down, so it isn't just a me problem it's a Ford problem. After inspecting the guard it is made of such cheap material I don't know how any engineering designer could of thought that these would hold up given the environment under a vehicle. I would also think that this could easily become a road hazard if it were of fallen off going down the road.Owner report · Suspension · Nov 2025
