“The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated while approximately 20 MPH, the entire wheel detached from the vehicle. The brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle was inspected. It was confirmed that the tire had detached. No further information was available for the wheel location. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence, then to a local independent mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed that the lower arm joint and rear axel fractured. The vehicle was currently being repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000. The VIN was not available.”Owner report · Power Train · Jul 2022
“The horn on my 2005 sebring will randomly sound and will not stop until the steering wheel is beat upon or violently shaken up and down. The horn does not work on it's own as a safety feature. It will happen at any given time, while driving or sitting parked. In order to avoid this, the horn must be disconnected.”Owner report · Air Bags · Feb 2021

“The horn goes off at any given time of the day. The horn randomly goes off when the car is powered on and in motion (on the highway or on a street), sometimes while stationary and powered off in the driveway - the vehicle being vacant. This is a reoccurring issue, almost every day. I've only had the car for 14 months. Following some online research, I discovered that there are hundreds of other complaints posted to various forums by other owners experiencing the same problem. The only proposed permanent solution being to replace the clock switch, a costly repair (est $1100). Otherwise, disable the fuse controlling the airbag and horn, not safe!”Owner report · Electrical System · Jul 2020
“Brakes locked up on a city street when trying to stop at a stop light. Weather conditions were wet and cause vechicle to crash. This has happened before but this was the first time I crashed as a result.”Owner report · Service Brakes · Jan 2019
“I was backing out of driveway and the passenger side ball joint came apart. This let the control arm fall in to the rim. Breaking it and blowing out tire. Also damaged cv axle and passenger side fender. Prior to that about 3 months before the driver side ball joint did the same thing. This time I was slowing down to turn left. Also dropped control arm through the rim and tire. Thus damaging cv axle and fender. After this l checked in to this and seen there was a recall on this year vehicle. After checking my VIN# I saw that my vehicle was not on the recall list. It seems to me that this should be investigated. An perhaps more vehicles should be added to the list for recall.”Owner report · Suspension · Sep 2017
“My car lights on the inside do not turn on have tried replacing all fuses the radio also will not come on also have tried replacing fuses the right door does not latc and can only be opened from the inside the left door only can open from the outside the steering wheel makes a noise when trying to turn and tries to locked up but I do have steering fluid in there the right back blinker stops working at random timessage even with a new bulb the seat belt light blinks and dings even with seat belts on also the oilast light comes on even with oil in it and the horn does not work.”Owner report · Electrical System · Feb 2017
“Horn blares randomly and cannot be stopped without removing the horn relay making the horn (a safety requirement) inoperable. Dealer was able to repair the issue, however, at a cost of over $672 as the dealer marked the replacement part 1az56xdvae driver airbag. Many owners likely would not get this issue repaired due to cost thereby driving a car with unsafe equipment. *tr”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Dec 2016
