“Horn blares randomly and cannot be stopped without removing the horn relay making the horn (a safety requirement) inoperable. Dealer was able to repair the issue, however, at a cost of over $672 as the dealer marked the replacement part 1az56xdvae driver airbag. Many owners likely would not get this issue repaired due to cost thereby driving a car with unsafe equipment. *tr”Owner report · Air Bags · Dec 2016
“Driving on 195 west heavy rain vehicle hydroplates in front of us no where to go but to hit the other vehicle imy main question is my airbags never came out..questioning defect...my vehicle was totaled and towed away I am the owner of this vehicle.... “Horn starts blowing spontaneously in cold weather and will not stop until car is warmed up. This presents a hazard to other drivers and is a traffic violation. Horn shares a fuse with the fuel pump, so no easy way to disable it and drive the car, and car will not pass inspection if the horn is unplugged. A web search shows that this is a very common problem with this car, but since the horn switch is part of the airbag unit the replacement cost is almost $1000. *tr”Owner report · Air Bags · Oct 2013

“Horn started going off by itself and would not stop while driving. This is dangerous and could cause a crash. This has happened numerous times. It is very difficult to get it to stop (have to turn steering wheel and continuously press horn down until stops). I've read numerous complaints about the same and think that this should be a recall due to number of people impacted. *tr”Owner report · Electrical System · Nov 2012
“My car, 2005 chrysler sebring, 2.4 dual over head (VIN [xxx]) has a broken motor mount bracket (front). It is on national back order and cannot be attained in the near future. Over 250 people are waiting for this part and are currently on the waiting list, as am I. I cannot attain this part and further damage is being done to my vehicle because I have no choice but to drive it without the bracket. Chrysler corp. Refuses to provide me with a rental for the time being. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).*tr”Owner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Apr 2011
“The horn goes off intermittently and eventually the only alternative is to disconnect it, because of poor assembly from chrysler, they attached the horn to the airbag and the entire system has to be replaced- if the horn does not work, neither does the airbag. A death trap. Poor design of the 2.7 engine by chrysler..oil light flickers... Oil sludge build up which will cause catastrophic engine failure and result in an accident. Chrysler refuses to address these problems. *tr”Owner report · Air Bags · Jan 2009
