Dt: the consumer stated one year ago had recall 96v099000 repair work done on the ABS. She was experiencing the same problems now. The ABS light came on, and the brakes made a grinding noise when stopping. The dealer told the consumer that indicated that the pump was broke. The parts have been on back order since 6-05. The last time she talked to the dealer was on 10-26-05. They told her the parts were still on back order, and they had no idea when the parts would be in. The dealer told her that the repair work will be covered under warranty.*ak updated 11/16/05. *jbOwner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Jun 2005
I have a 1992 chrysler new yorker. I was driving on wilbeth rd., akron, oh at a very slow rate approx. 25 m.p.h. Which was the speed limit. I hit a pothole and my airbag deployed and I have injuries due to that accident which I went to the hospital and was examined and x-rayed. I have pictures of the airbag and the pothole I hit. Unfortunately, the street repair was done before I got a picture of the actual hole but you can see the patch in the street of the size of the hole, approx. 1ft. By 1 ft. And it was like the street was caving in not actually a pothole. The street department has been fixing this road for about a week.Owner report · Air Bags · May 2005
Black smoke and large flames appeared from the vehicle. The fire department extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed an independent mechanic, who indicated the fuel rail failed. *ak while parked in the parking lot with the key still in the ignition switch but with the engine turned of, the consumer realized that the engine was on fire. The fire may have started while the engine was not running, but the fire wasn't noticed when the engine was off. The fire was possibly started by the fuel rail, this was not an electrical fire per consumer. *sc *jbOwner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Jun 2004

I am reporting a problem which may relate to acceleration due to computer failure. My 1991 chrysler new yorker revved up considerably as I sat in neutral after traveling at 45 to 50 mph for 7 hours. I was driving from richmond, va to albany, ga and setting the pace for a rental truck on a very windy day. It only happened on the one day. I no longer own the car. *trOwner report · Vehicle Speed Control · Feb 2004
