Friday, I was driving to work, the car felt like it was going to stall out, I luckily made it to work. It made an awful sound like something broke. Later that day, I took it to a nearby garage, the mechanic said the engine had blown & his suggestion was to take it to a junk yard & hope for a couple hundred dollars, other wise, it would cost 2000.00 for a remanufactured motor & 1000.00 for labor to install the motor. He also stated that the chrysler 2.7 motor was notorious for broken timing belts & the engines locking up. *trOwner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Apr 2009

The vehicle stalled intermittently and the check oil warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The warning indicator remained lit until the engine was turned off.
