My steering feels loose and truck doesn't sways and wanders. It wasn't that way when I got it and I only put like 20000 miles on it. It shouldn't be having these issues. Other models 23-24 have a recall for this same issue.Owner report · Steering · Apr 2026
I never was contacted by GM that a recall was made for my truck, by email or mail. The last two extended warranty 111k miles or May 7, 2029) repairs made by the dealer, the repair paperwork order states a " Recall" exists but the dealer elects not to perform the repairs @ 44k miles. Recall: Perform Factory Recall 212349710 ECM Fastners missing or loose. I've searched cannot find this recall or any recalls.Owner report · Engine · Feb 2026
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated that occasionally, while driving or while the vehicle was parked, the tailgate unintendedly opened. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V060000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages); however, the VIN was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000.Owner report · Latches/Locks/Linkages · Feb 2026

When shutting the vehicle off, I repeatedly get a "shift to park" error message. The truck will not shut down fully until this message goes away and can drain the battery. I have read this is a common Chevy problem in other models and others who I have talked to have the same issue. The local dealer wanted $170 just to scan it even though I feel they know the issue. The problem started right after the warrant expired and GM sent through a "software push notification" with no explanation what it was for. This feels too coincidental for me and GMs response was to take it to the dealer, not covered by warranty.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Feb 2026
The braking system is very weak given the towing and load rating on the truck. Emergency stopping is at times questionable. It seems there is almost no braking from the front axle of the truck. In 80000 miles the front brakes are still over 75% pad left with the rear brakes now being on the second set. I have had the dealership Chevrolet of Canton look into this and they tell me that is how this trick is designed to work. This is the first truck I have ever owned that used the rear brakes more 4 times faster than the front brakes. This is an issue that GM needs to look into.Owner report · Service Brakes · Aug 2025
I was driving on freeway in rain, rear end of truck kicked out sideways due to hydroplane, I hit the cement median in the front of truck, spun around and the back end also hit median. I have $25,000 in damage and the frame is bent in 3 locations, however airbags didn't deploy. 1) Airbags didn't deploy, and yes available for inspection. 2) I think airbags should have gone off, all 4 of us hit our heads on something. 3) No, I mentioned it to them, but nothing has been done. 4) No inspection has been completed. 5) No, there were no warning lights or messages prior to the failure.Owner report · Air Bags · Jul 2025
Pulled in drive way and tailgate open light came on and noises was coming from rear or truck. I have a bed cover so I could not see tailgate but it was beeping, going up and down on it own. I finally pulled the fuse to get it stopped. Seen the recall and though all would be good BUT NO they say my truck is not on recall list evan though its doing the exact thing recall is for.Owner report · Structure · Jun 2025
The brakes really seem to be lacking stopping power unloaded and especially while towing a 30' gooseneck loaded. I even have the brake controller set to 10 and it really takes awhile to stop. I have to deliberately leave even more room in front of me to make sure I can stop.Owner report · Service Brakes · Jun 2025
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment before the vehicle stalled. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the intercooler pipes and turbo intercooler hoses needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.Owner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Apr 2025
â-Rear window with small power wi down leaks â-over time, it will get worse and cause mold, in turn makes it a healthy hazard â-yes, the problem has been reproduced by an independent facility â-it has not been inspected by dealership but when informed of the situation, they stated they knew there was an issue and referred me to a window specialist â-there were no warning lampsOwner report · Unknown Or Other · Feb 2025
