“My truck has used automatic emergency braking multiple times while driving at variable speeds with no obstacles or vehicles in front of me causing whiplash and further damage to my neck that has 5 budging discs. Since I’m only allowed to add a specific mileage and speed below, I’ll note here that it’s happened since I purchased the truck with roughly 35000 miles on it to the current mileage of 44000 and between speeds of 30mph-75mph.”Owner report · Electrical System,Service Brakes,Forward Collision Avoidance · May 2026
“Engine light came on. Fan ran high. Had it towed to the dealership. Has 39,000 miles on it. Needs a new upper radiator hose due to a defective hose. Apparently, after reading online, GM is aware of this issue. Now we have to pay the diagnostic fee and $850 for a new hose and a flush, as well as the tow bill! Now can’t get the part for a week or 8 days and then have to wait on the repair. This is unsatisfactory that there is a known problem and isn’t covered or hasn’t been a recall.”Owner report · Engine · May 2026
“Faulty Radiator Inlet Hose, upper radiator hose failure, outlined in PIT6494A. This is the third time that the light on the dashboard has come on for failure, the first time they "Fixed it" the second time they said it was the Battery, it was NOT!! This time they are saying what it really is, The Radiator Hose FAILURE, since the vehicle is only 3 years old but over the 36k mile WARRANTY, they will NOT fix! failure on their part.”Owner report · Unknown Or Other,Engine · Apr 2026

“The automated emergency breaking system has been triggered unintentionally twice traveling at speeds of 50 miles per hour. There was no vehicle or object that entered our path. We were traveling behind cars at least three car lengths behind that remained at the same speed. Had there been vehicles behind us, we would have been rear ended at high speeds as the truck came to almost a complete stop on its own immediately.”Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Apr 2026
“Blind spot monitoring system consistently malfunctions, illuminating the driver mirror warning light when no other vehicles are present. It occurs more frequently after dark, which flickers the bright light continuously, or leaves it on constantly, creating a significant distraction and mistrust of the systems reliability. Dealer had no recommendation for fix.”Owner report · Electrical System,Lane Departure · Apr 2026

“Recall was performed on truck about a year ago for the pedestrian collision automatic braking. Today the truck locked up the brakes in traffic and there wasn’t a pedestrian in sight. I believe the recall didnt truly fix the issue, as it has given false alerts before without applying the brakes”Owner report · Service Brakes,Forward Collision Avoidance · Feb 2026
“Radiator inlet hose leaked which caused low coolant. Check light alerted. Replace the hose. Parts are on backorder. Also had a recall on the emergency brake assist. I took this in for the recall however the alert assist still goes off.”Owner report · Unknown Or Other,Forward Collision Avoidance · Feb 2026
“The upper radiator hose and gasket on numerous Colorado and Canyon trucks have failed prematurely. Mine has failed at 31k miles. Radiator hose leaks can cause engine overheating and failures while on roadways. Additional issues of leaking coolant on roadways and into the environment. Vehicle is scheduled to be viewed by dealership. Symptom which lead to diagnosing problems included rushing fluid sounds as air was introduced to the coolant line as well as an observable leak on the driver side where the radiator hose connects to the radiator.”Owner report · Power Train · Jan 2026
