What Hyundai owners report
“I have a Hyundai Sonata 2017 one year after I bought the car I started having acceleration problems. I have had the throttle changed and the valve gasket cover repaired. On April 15, 2026 the check engine light came on. On April 29th I got theta 2 emissions update installed at Hyundai Auburn, Al. I took it too auto zone the same day the code P1326 was showing up and P0014. On May 5th my car entered limp mode for excessive oil leakage, I got an oil change April 6, 2026. My car has never done that until the update was installed. I get my oil changed every 6 months and also have sent them records. They denied my claim due to lack of maintenance.”2017 Hyundai Sonata · May 2026
“While I was dropping on the highway my vehicle suddenly slowed down when and the engine started shaking when I approached around 40mph and the check engine light started flashing. After checking I'm getting the error codes P1326 and P0014. I'm not unable to go past 40mph and the vehicle starts stalling when I approach that speed which is incredibly dangerous depending on what road I'm on. I've had zero issues with this vehicle previously and have always had regular maintenance. After researching other Santa Fe sport have had identical issues and there are recalls for other years but my year 2018 was skipped for some reason even though it's clearly affected.”2018 Hyundai Santa FE Sport · Jul 2025
“I just recently purchased about a month and a half ago. I was on my way to work and it was a thudded knocking noise before my car slowed down and shut off on the highway. I had to get it towed to a nearby restaurant I had a mobile mechanic come by he put it on a scanner code p0014 came up with the engine light on.. When he cut the car on and heard the noise he said my engine has failed.. I haven't had any prior issues with my car before this date.. He mentioned it's recalls on the engine I have my VIN doesn't show it's a recall but it's the same issues described happened”2016 Hyundai Sonata · May 2025
