“Volvo cars from 2014-2016 has oil consumption due to the bad piston rings design and the manufacturer don't want to issue a recall for this problem, it's a serious problem with these models”Owner report · Engine · Oct 2024
“The engine consumes an excessive amount of oil, requiring the addition of about one quart every few hundred miles. There are no visible external leaks, and the issue appears to be due to internal engine components such as piston rings allowing oil into the combustion chamber. This poses a risk of engine damage and loss of power. The problem has been observed consistently and confirmed by a repair shop. No crash or safety incident has occurred, but the vehicle's reliability and safety are compromised.”Owner report · Engine · Sep 2024
