“Purchased new uniroyal tires for my car all have needed to be replaced in very short time tires suffer from rapid deflation for now reason. Tire dealer has blamed wheels air pressure ect . Three of the 4 wheels have be changed all have been inspected by a wheel repair service. There have never been a nail or road hazard involved. “Tl* the contact owns a 2007 volvo c70. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle had a delayed response. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake booster failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v101000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. “While driving either the passenger door or the driver door suddenly becomes unlatched even when locked and the information message system comes on saying passenger (or driver) door is open and cabin lights come on. I am required to pull over and resecure doors. This issue has escalated to a nearly daily occurrence. This problem should be fixed by a recall as doors are not supposed to automatically come open on a 7 year old car that has never been in an accident. “Water leaks through the rear left and right windows. I have taken the car in three times since feb 8, 2008 to get this repaired. The solutions have ranged from injecting sealant to replacing the seals. However, the leak persists. Following the most recent repair (replacing the seals on july 8), the right rear side window rattles and the leak is worst than ever. “I have air and water leaks. The car has been to the mattusch volvo dealer in kaiserslautern, germany, four times for these leaks; mattusch has had the car for over 3 months (cumulative) trying to correct the leaks to no avail. In fact the repairs have made the leaks worse. It started with small water leaks in the rear windows. After the "repairs" the leaks got worse and worse and air noise was very bad. Now the trunk leaks water due to the "repairs". I have had a volvo country rep look at the car and he agrees the air noise is bad. VOLVO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006-2012 C70 VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM NOVEMBER 15, 2005, THROUGH JULY 31, 2011, AND MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 S60 VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JULY 14, 2010, THROUGH APRIL 16, 2011, THAT WERE EQUIPPED WITH OPTIONAL ACCESSORY SPARE TIRE KIT. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NUMBER. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS." THESE VEHICLES DO NOT CONTAIN THE CORRECT INFORMATION FOR VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE OPTIONAL ACCESSORY SPARE TIRE AND WHEEL KIT.
Remedy: VOLVO WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND INSTALL THE LABEL AS NECESSARY, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 23, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT VOLVO AT 1-201-768-7300.
VOLVO IS RECALLING CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH GARMIN 760 PORTABLE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) UNITS BECAUSE THE BATTERIES ON THOSE UNITS MAY OVERHEAT.
Remedy: VOLVO ADVISES OWNERS TO PLEASE STOP USING THE GARMIN PORTABLE GPS DEVICE IMMEDIATELY, AND VISIT THE GARMIN WEBSITE TO DETERMINE IF THEIR UNIT IS AFFECTED. THE UNIT'S BATTERY WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW BATTERY AND A SPACER WILL BE INSERTED ON TOP OF THE BATTERY NEXT TO THE PCB. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 18, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT GARMIN AT 866-957-1981 OR VISIT GARMIN'S WEBSITE AT WWW.GARMIN.COM/NUVIBATTERYPCBRECALL.
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, AN INCORRECT TEMPORARY ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION RESULTED IN AN INCORRECT ASSEMBLY OF THE LEFT DOOR HANDLE BOWDEN CABLE ATTACHMENT.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL ADJUST THE LEFT DOOR BOWDEN CABLE BY REMOVING AN EXISTING CABLE TIE AND PLACING THE BOWDEN CABLE IN ITS DESIGNATED POSITION FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JUNE 29, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT VOLVO AT 1-800-458-1552.
VOLVO IS RECALLING 1,114 MY 2007 C30, C70, S40, AND V50 PASSENGER VEHICLES. A SOFT ANODIZED LAYER IN THE MASTER CYLINDER MAY TRIGGER EARLY WEAR ON A RUBBER SEAL THAT CAN RESULT IN INTERNAL LEAKAGE OF BRAKE FLUID. IF AFFECTED, THE DRIVER MAY EXPERIENCE REDUCED BRAKE PERFORMANCE WHEN APPLYING AND MAINTAINING FORCE OF THE BRAKE PEDAL.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE MASTER CYLINDER. THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WILL BE REPLACED AND CERTAIN BRAKE LINES CLEANED FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 11, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT VOLVO AT 1-800-458-1552.
