Yes I wrote awhile back about my ball joint snapping in half going 55. It was the lower one but it wasn't where the ball joint was it was the metal part about an inch and a half from where the ball joint was. Due to rust. The man whom I finally found who bought it new said he never received any kind of notice about the rust on the vehicle.Owner report · Suspension · Oct 2020
Approximately 5 years ago 125k miles lower ball joint failure front driver's side separation. 11/11/18 approximately 250k miles left driver's side ball joint separation. Total loss of control. If I had been at high spped serious injury or death might have occurred.Owner report · Suspension · Nov 2018

Front end making loud squeaking noise. Seen where there was a recall. Have had issues in the past and replaced those parts. Front end keeps messing up. Would not recommend this model to anybody.Owner report · Suspension · Jan 2018
Frame corrosion is the worst I've ever seen. Even after being coated years ago, frame continue to rust and can present danger when too much rust occurs and spring perch or other suspension component detaches from the frame and cause an accident.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Mar 2016

Going slowly over pitted road noticed squeaking on rear end and brought to a mechanic. Was told frame cracked through due to frame rust. Vehicle is unable to be repaired. Toyota had a service bullitin but I was never notified and it expired in may of 2000. They will not honor their warranty extension despite the vehicle being serviced at dealership.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Jun 2015
