While starting up our 1993 toyota previa, the radio amplifier under the glove compartment caught on fire. The ignition was turned off, and the fire stopped. Smoke odors from the fire still persist, and the amplifier was removed. The circuit board near one output transistor was badly burned, and the amplifier is not repairable. It appears that the glue used to attach the large capacitors has migrated on the circuit board and may have caused the short. No new part has been found as yet. *trOwner report · Equipment · Aug 2008

Airbag light came on after not driving for a couple days. Took it to the dealer, it will cost $800 to fix it. I think this is very unreasonable. It was never in a wreck and never deployed. There are also some other electrical problems with the lights in the dash. *jbOwner report · Air Bags · May 2005
