I believe the windshield is defective. I have had multiple chips from small debris but it leaves a surprisingly large crack. These were from interstate driving. I had four different glass crack claims in the last two years. These cracks are deep and concerning that they could penetrate through the windshield.Owner report · Visibility/Wiper · Aug 2026
Transmission is failing in car. Has started whining, consistent with other complaints I have seen regarding the transmissions in these vehicles.Owner report · Power Train · Jul 2026
My check engine and ICS sensor lights came on. My diagnostic shows a failing fuel pump exactly as recall 20TA02. My car is not on the recall list but is presenting the same issue. I was driving on the road when this occurred and my car started stalling and jerking on the road. I had to quickly and safely exit the road and go back home.Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Jul 2026

2019 Toyota Camry with UA80 8-speed automatic transmission experienced complete transmission failure. Vehicle was diagnosed by a mechanic confirming transmission failure. Toyota was contacted for goodwill assistance under case number 260701001190. Toyota has missed multiple promised supervisor callbacks and has not resolved the matter. This transmission is currently the subject of three federal class action lawsuits alleging Toyota knowingly sold vehicles with defective UA80 transmissions prone to premature failure due to heat buildup and defective software programming.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Jul 2026
My vehicle completely lost power and stalled on the freeway, requiring a tow. A Toyota dealership has diagnosed it with a total internal failure of the UA80 transmission and quoted me $9,000. This vehicle has been properly maintained, including a documented transmission fluid service at a Toyota facility in March of this year. A modern powertrain should not suffer a life-threatening failure at 130,000 miles. Because of this severe safety defect and my documented maintenance history, I am requesting a Corporate Goodwill Accommodation to cover or significantly cost-share this replacement.Owner report · Power Train · Jun 2026
Vehicle has 75,000 original miles. At around 73,000 miles, I began to hear a whining noise from the engine bay while accelerating at highway speeds. I took the car into the dealership where they confirmed the transmission has failed and needs to be replaced. All routine maintenance has been done on schedule and is on record with the dealership since original vehicle deployment. This vehicle has the UA80 transmission that is the center of multiple class-action lawsuits in the US due to early failure, allegedly due to design flaws.Owner report · Power Train · Jun 2026
Transmission has gone bad 109k miles, took it to dealer they said Transmission is bad ,started with slippage in gears and clutch, gave me code for solenoids, and now is undriveable.Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · May 2026
At 170,000 miles, the 2019 Toyota Hybrid Camry LE has developed a consistent drive train lurch/stumble/shake around 20, 40 and 60 MPH, which is increasing in intensity and occurrence. This defect is quite startling and occurs regardless of efficiency, HVAC, cruise control, etc. settings. Examined twice by a Toyota dealer service department Toyota-trained licensed repair technician, no explanation or repair can be suggested. That is, I am expected to suffer this defect until left stranded.Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Apr 2026
The car started jerking and the RPMs heratic while driving but would not advance pressing the accelerator on the freeway could have crashed or been involved in a major accident on the freeway was able to move out in time because pressing the accelerator did not work not did it move the car it completely lost power once on the side of road try reversing and noting happened could not drive or reverse completely dead on the side of the road without warning no lights came on the transmission no longer functions happened 4-18-2026 is being towed turns on but can't drive out move only wining noiseOwner report · Power Train · Apr 2026
The most definite sign is when you press the button and three doors lock, but one doesn't. Strange Noises: You may hear a buzzing, grinding, or clicking sound from inside the door when you try to use the power locks. This sound like a small motor inside the actuator struggling to work and causing the alarm not to armed the vehicle. Intermittent Operation: The lock might work one day and not the next, or it may be slow to respond. But is now happening everyday now.Owner report · Electrical System · Apr 2026
