“Nothing happened yet, since I cannot know for sure if these are bad air bags since car was in accident and repaired with replacement air bags in past, so no way to find out unless toyota pays to check them first and maybe replaced. Worried that replacement air bag are defective or dangerous no one is addressing this issue why??? My replacements need to be checked by serial number???”Owner report · Air Bags · Jan 2020

“I was at a standstill and rearended by another driver going approximately 50 mph and he did not brake. The seat belt did not engage nor did the airbags. Both cars totaled. Trunk hood popped, also rear panels bent. I sustained a head injury either on windshield or steering wheel . My firm belief is the seatbelt should have engaged and avoided the head injury. *tr”Owner report · Seat Belts · Mar 2015
“While driving at a steady speed, the car (which is an automatic) went out of gear and slipped into neutral. As soon as I realized what had happened I jiggled the shifter (it was in d2) and the gear seemed to re-engage and I continued driving without any problem. This has happened a half dozen times.”Owner report · Power Train · Oct 2014
“Brakes went to floor when depressed... Had to run car into curb and into tree before a car was hit in front of vehicle or parked cars. Mechanic noted both brake lines were rusted through causing complete catastrophic failure which apparently happens alot on this age of toyota because of design of covering brake lines trapping in salt and moisture leading to failure. Result of accident was to replace both brake lines from to back and body work to repair vehicle so it was drivable. *tr”Owner report · Service Brakes · Aug 2014
“I replaced my front tire at bergeys dealership. The tire was bubbled up on the middle of the front surface. I had requested to replace two more times but the bubble still show on the tire. I suspect the tire's lot quality is not good. But, the dealer did not accept that their tires were not good; I really don't want to drive this tire on the road. I wish this tire's lot need to be recall because of the bad quality to prevent drivers get into an accident. Thanks in advance for your consideration. *tr”Owner report · Tires · Apr 2014
“The 1999 toyota camry solara had a film that had built up on the drivers side and front passenger side lenses which was difficult to clean. The lenses had been replaced several times but the film continued to impact the visibility of the low beams and high beams. The front passenger side low beam shorted twice and was replaced. The o2 sensor failed and had to be replaced as well. The manufacturer needs to replace the lenses with a more translucent lense for the head lamps to prevent a failure of poor visibility. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000. Dyd”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Mar 2014
“Every time that the passenger seat is moved forward to allow passengers in or out the air bag light in the vehicle starts blinking. The light will blink for around 15 days before it shuts off if the passenger seat is not moved forward for passengers during that time. The next time the passenger seat is moved forward for passengers, the cycle starts over again.”Owner report · Air Bags · Sep 2013
