“once full self-driving is disengaged a pop-up menu shows up at the main part of the screen requesting a feedback why full self-driving was disengaged you cannot dismiss the questionnaire easily without being distracted during the driving extremely dangerous The only way to dismiss the compulsory questionnaire is to make a selection of 1 option or double click on a microphone button on the steering wheel extremely distractive and requires not to look at the road just at the moment you disengage full self-driving there is no option to dismiss it Tesla is forcing you to answer it”Owner report · Lane Departure · May 2026

“It was a windy day I was driving to work I was only driving max 14 mph and there were leaves flying due to the wind and without any warning the phantom break came on and my car just randomly stopped. It was in my neighborhood at 1830. It left me traumatized for few minutes because there was no need for the car to randomly stop like it did. The outcome could have been an injury if I was on the freeway or if a car was behind me. Till this day ever time I drive it i wonder if I will have the same incident again.”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Dec 2025
“I am writing to express my deep concern regarding ongoing safety and service issues with my 2024 Tesla Model X. This is the third Tesla vehicle we've owned, and while our previous two vehicles performed excellently, this one has presented serious and recurring problems with the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. Since the second service visit, we have experienced four separate incidents in which the vehicle has either driven off the road or abruptly slammed on the brakes without warning. Despite two prior service appointments at the Tesla Service Center in Sarasota, FL, these issues remain unresolved. We also scheduled a third appointment, which Tesla later cancelled.”Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Oct 2025
“Phantom Breaking and vehicle slow down events occur near daily when using the highway when adaptive cruise control is engaged. The vehicle will abruptly try to stop, or slow down aby 5-10 MPH. This has caused several close calls with other drivers on the highways. Date of the incident is the latest. In the last two weeks prior to the incident, it has occurred at least 6-10 times.”Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Feb 2025
“Sometimes I'm not able to activate left turn signal. It works most of the time (I would guess it works 95% of the time), sometimes it doesn't work. Car does not have turn signal stalk, push button on steering wheel to activate turn signal.”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Aug 2024
“Turn signal buttons do not work for short periods of time while driving. It is available for inspection upon request. I am unable to signal for merging and turning which is unsafe. The problem was not reproduced, but was confirmed. Yes the vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer and corrective action was taken. However the issue has not been fixed. No other warning lights, symptoms, or messages.”Owner report · Electrical System · Mar 2024
“The vehicle consistently displays the message "Rear right safety restraint system fault" on the dashboard since its delivery in January 2024. This indicates a potential malfunction in the airbag or seatbelt system, posing a safety risk to passengers occupying the rear right seat while the vehicle is in operation. Despite multiple inspections and diagnoses by Tesla, the dealership has attributed the issue to a firmware or software glitch without providing a definitive solution. Consequently, the warning message persists on a daily basis, necessitating urgent resolution to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle's safety systems.”Owner report · Air Bags · Jan 2024
