I was going 70 down the highway when my bike shut off. Looked at the 30amp fuse under the seat and it was blown. Replaced it with the spare and it immediately blew. Trailered my bike back to my house and found the regulartor/rectifier sparking. This is a huge issue and should be a recall. Bike was driven normally with no racing/speeds over 80.Owner report · Electrical System · Jul 2016
I have owned the bike for less than a year now and 3 times the regulator has fried in the bike. I have a new stator and battery in the bike all charging fine. Luckily all the times when it has stopped working I was stopped. But once I was 21st a busy intersection and thankfully a driver of a car let me walk it to the side walk. In afraid this is going to happen while I'm going down the interstate and it's going cause an accident or worse...take my life.Owner report · Electrical System · May 2016

Takata recall I keep going through rectifiers, stators, fuses, fuel pumps, wiring, battery, starter and even a a used ecu plus a few other things all coming back to the rectifier missing everything up a few times a year and now again I'm gonna have to send my bike back out and pay for everything to get done again I'm kinda mad that I bought it instead of that 2000 hayabusa like I was going to.Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Apr 2015
Motorcycle cut off, and lost power while driving. I was not able to start the motorcycle again after that. There is a recall on the voltage regulator for the same year (2007) but for the gsxr 1000. *trOwner report · Electrical System · Dec 2011
Abrupt on/off throttle can cause sudden and unexpected rapid deceleration and acceleration, destabilizing the vehicle potentially leading to loss of control and a crash. The problem seems to occur at lower engine rpm's (4,000-6,000 rpm) and seems most prevalent at high engine temperatures (205+ degrees) and especially when the vehicle is turned on and started while at higher temperatures. This could be from a rusting throttle control valve that is not opening correctly. The bike was stored indoors and rarely saw rain, should not be rusting. *trOwner report · Vehicle Speed Control · Jun 2010

I was coming to a stop at a t intersection when my motorcycle fell. I got back up to try and move it but the motorcycle would not move. I fell on my left side but found out that the right side of my rotor inner mounting plate was bent. The approx speed I was going was 15 mph. I sent my motorcycle into the shop the next day and contacted suzuki. They sent me a packet and after I filled it out sent it back in. Since then I got a voicemail from their rep saying "I pushed on the brakes too hard". I have been trying to call back for a couple of weeks now leaving voice messages and haven't gotten a call back from yet. *trOwner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · May 2008

Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2004-2013 GSX-R600 and GSX-R750, and model year 2005-2013 GSX-R1000 motorcycles. In combination with older brake fluid, corrosion of the brake piston inside of the front brake master cylinder generates gas that may result in a reduction of fluid pressure transmission to the front brake.

Remedy: Suzuki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began on November 18, 2013. Owners may contact Suzuki at 1-800-572-1490. Suzuki's campaign numbers for this recall are: 2A (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36).
