The wiring harness that feeds the windshield wipers, hvac blower motor and other things is melting & shorting out. I find when I look in salvage yards for this item, all the ones that would fit this vehicle are melted in the same way. Therefore, this must be a manufacturers defect and should be replaced. *laOwner report · Electrical System · Dec 2003
While pulling out of the driveway steering unit failed, causing the consumer to lose steering power, and vehicle fell into a ditch. Two major bolts holding the front end of the chassis broke loose, causing the steering to collapse. Vehicle was totaled. Manufacturer and the dealer were notified. *akOwner report · Structure · Sep 2003
I have had to replace 4 of the 6 seat belt retractors since july of 2000. The failure mode is the retractor spring breaking or pulling out of seatbelt mounting shaft. Each replacement retractor costs $130. Replacement parts look like they will fail in the same manner, very poor design.Owner report · Seat Belts · Jun 2003
