“Takata recall- while the car is in motion it will simply stop, nothing will work. It must be restarted to resume and continue. It may not drive for long though. It does not happen all the time but it seems that this is very dangerous .at times the power will shut off momentarily but the car will continue driving. The lights will dim while driving, also. On one occasion the car would not start until the third crank of the key. This has happened on busy streets with my new 17 year old driver at the wheel. I will be calling a dealer soon. They have to feel some responsibility. I pray no one gets hurt due to this issue.”Owner report · Electrical System · Nov 2015

“Automatic transmission 4t65-e had to be rebuilt with only 70k miles in 14 years of very moderate driving, which averages out 5000 miles per year. Cost of rebuild was $1500.00.”Owner report · Suspension · Dec 2014
“While driving the vehicle approaching a turn, the vehicle goes dead and completely blacks out. The vehicle is operating perfectly prior to all electrical current begin cut from the car, this happens with no warning. It has been diagnosed with a bad electronic ignition switch which is cutting all power to the vehicle. Obviously with out a running engine, the power brakes and steering are gone too. I have to assume since there is no power to the vehicle that the airbags would also not function correctly. *tr”Owner report · Electrical System · Nov 2014
“Anti lock brake light came on. Service engine soon light came on. Oil low light came on. Traction control light came on and switch inoperative. Heater/defroster fan switch inoperative. Interior/exterior air switch inoperable. Air bag light came on. It was raining. The next morning when car was started all lights were off and car seemed ok. Mechanic used scanner and found no error codes. On line search indicated that is could be do to ignition switch. Thus, I think the recalls for this switch should be expanded. *tr”Owner report · Electrical System · Apr 2014

“I ran up a curb to avoid rear-ending a vehicle and a part called the power steering cooler hose (gmpart # 26074657) was damaged, causing the loss of the power steering fluid and therefore the loss of power steering. This part is no longer available from gm, the part is flimsyly installed with retainers that do not secure the hose properly. Over time the hose could dismount from the retainers and anything that hits it could cause a loss of power steering. At the moment an otherwise good vehicle is disabled due to the lack of this part. Can you help? *tr”Owner report · Steering · Feb 2014
“Passlock system fails and does not allow vehicle to start until a 10 - 30 minute "reset" has been completed, which is only a temporary fix since the problem will recur.”Owner report · Electrical System · Sep 2013
