Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's fuel filler tube was corroded. The dealer inspected the vehicle on 08/14/06 and determined that the fuel filler tube was corroded and needed to be replaced. There was a NHTSA recall #95v244000, regarding the fuel system, gasoline: storage: tank assembly: filler pipe and cap. The vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN. The vehicle was registered in connecticut for the past 4 years and was purchased in hawaii. The manufacturer was contacted on 07/26/06 and determined that the VIN archives needed to be inspected to conclude that the VIN should be included in the recall.Owner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Jul 2006
I purchased two new nankang tires for the front wheels on my 1991 nissan stanza on 8/11/05. On 8/16/05 while driving toward washington on oregon I-84, the left front tire experienced a blowout of the sidewall, causing the car to climb the center divider. I managed to bring the car under control without rolling, but I injured my back and leg in the process. *nmOwner report · Tires · Aug 2005

The fuel line is cracked and is leaking profusely. This particular hose is an after market product and is assumed to be hazardous. The original hose was replaced before the consumer purchased the vehicle. *ak *jbOwner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Jun 2004
1991 nissan stanza fuel injector leakage, timing belt guide breakage, cv joint failure. What will it take for a recall on these leaking fuel injectors, someone's death? This car is a piece of junk!!! My teenage daughter has been driving the car and I am very concerned that this problem is allowed to continue (no recall). *jbOwner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Dec 2002
Consumer states while driiving there was a gas odor, had vehicle serviced. Their is a leak from where the fuel line runs from the tank to the engine.*jbOwner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Sep 2002
I am currently having a problem with my fuel tank leaking. I looked on line and noticed the cars in the northern part of the u.s. Were recalled for this problem. Would like to know why all cars were not recalled and if it can still be replaced. Thank-you. The fuel injectors on my 1991 nissan stanza were leaking into the engine compartment. The problem started when I was smelling strong gasoline fumes inside the car. After an inspection of the engine compartment, the gasoline smell was strongest near the fuel injector ports. Not wanting to risk an engine fire and breathing of gasoline fumes - and to avoid danger, I took the car to an automobile repair shop which confirmed my fears. I was so terrified that the car would catch on fire, I would lose the car and cause harm to myself or others. *akOwner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Dec 1999
Can smell gas inside the car; mechanics advise me that 3 of the 4 injectors are leaking. They advise replacement. I notice (from the consumer complaints) that this is a common problem (at least 4 people complained about it!). Considering that engine could catch fire if the problem is not fixed, I am wondering what the manufacturer is doing to fix this dangerous (and expensive) problem? Going through nissan's own "consumer discussion thread" I notice that for some people, fule-injector leak is a recurring problem, which leads me to believe that this is a design issue!Owner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Feb 1999
