“I have a 2026 Nissan Rogue. The back window spontaneously "popped" and shattered. I understand there is an issue with 2025 Rogue doing this. I purchased mine in October of 2025. I was in the drivers seat and had pushed the rear hatch button to open it. It went up approximately 1/2 way and there was a loud "pop", to the point my neighbors came out to see what happened. I called my dealership and they had me bring it in. They informed me there was no recall for the glass and could not cover it under warranty because they had no "proof" it was spontaneous. “The rear tailgate window shattered while parked in the driveway. It occurred overnight and was discovered first thing in the morning. Glass fragments were propelled several feet away from the vehicle. Our 2020 Rogue spent five years parked in the exact place without any windows shattering. Our new 2026.5 Rogue had only spent 3 months parked there when the window shattered. “The contact owns a 2026 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that on several occasions while accelerating, the vehicle failed to accelerate or respond as needed. The RPM was elevated; however, the vehicle failed to move. The contact stated that during the failure, the transmission was shifted between park(P) and drive(D) until the proper gear was recognized and the vehicle moved forward. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was scheduled to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. “The contact owns a 2026 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact entered the vehicle and there was a loud abnormal sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact exited the vehicle, walked to the rear of the vehicle, and discovered that the rear glass had exploded. No warning lights were illuminated. A dealer was not contacted. “The contact owns a 2026 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that after entering the vehicle and looking back to reverse, the contact became aware that the hatch glass had shattered. The shattered glass fell inside the trunk. There was no object found inside the trunk of the vehicle to indicate that an object had struck the glass. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and the contact was advised to file a claim with the insurance company. “Less than 24 hours after the transmission issue was fixed, I was driving down the interstate with my speedometer registering 147 MPH. I immediately took the vehicle back to the dealership. While the vehicle was in "Park", the speedometer was reading 80 MPH. “While Driving on I-10 I drove threw a small dust devil doing 78 mph and the drivers side trim next to the window flew off. There were other vehicles behind me and beside me. I did notice the cars behind me slowed down. There was no waring before hand. no sound, no movement, nothing. The Vehicle was just under 6,000 miles. I took it to Las Cruces Nissan. Ordered the part. “Loss of acceleration uphill and when trying to turn onto a street. My 2026 Nissan Rogue went in on May 15, 2026. It had water valve replaced, problem not resolved. They then replaced turbo, problem not resolved. Replaced Catalytic converter because it was clogged from coolant honeycombing. Problem resolved. Out of the shop, July 13, 2026 ( In the shop over 2 months). Back in the shop on July 23, 2026, hard knock on the motor and check engine light came on. Nissan shop determined motor needs replacement. Picked up vehicle on 8/14/26. Loss of acceleration again, dropped off on Sept 2nd and was informed my catalytic converter needs to be replaced again. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2026 Rogue vehicles. The instrument panel may not display the transmission gear selection indicator. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect."
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the transmission control valve assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's number for this recall is PD198. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 2, 2026.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2026 Rogue vehicles. The incorrect-size spare tire may have been installed, which does not match the tire size and inflation pressure information on the tire placard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the spare tire assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 25, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's number for this recall is PD180. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on January 6, 2026.
