Ladder frame rusted from inside. Will no longer pass state inspection. Previously repaired but no longer repairable. Vehicle has less that 58k miles on it and mechanically perfect. Always carefully maintained. Substandard steel in ladder frame, rear axle and differential cover and drive shafts. Tin worm evident and anti-rust treatment inadequate for use on roads in ne. Dt*: the contact stated while driving at various speeds the battery and brake indicator lights illuminated. Upon inspection the contact determined the alternator failed. The failure and replacement occurred on six different occasions under various circumstances. The failure continued to occur. The alternator part number is 23001-0s300. Battery keep's going dead over and over! I put a new one in and it happen all over. I had to have the alternator fixed about 3 times. The vehicle was involved in a frontal collision, which forced the vehicle into another vehicle, and into a retaining wall. Upon impact, the driver's air bag did not deploy. I'm transit mechanic 30 years, proir coast gaurd dot, keep tires inflated 35lbs at all times, check often, rotate 5-7 thousand miles,largest load ever carried less than 300 lbs-mulch for yard, vehicle unloaded at time of tire separation. CERTAIN CK MOTORSPORTS COMBINATION HEADLIGHTS, CLEAR CORNER, BUMPER, AND SIDE MARKER LIGHTS SOLD AS REPLACEMENT LAMPS FOR USE ON THE PASSENGER VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. SOME COMBINATION LAMPS THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

Remedy: CK MOTORSPORT WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE NONCOMPLIANT LAMPS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 1, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CK MOTORSPORT AT 1-909-610-7211.

SABERSPORT IS RECALLING 16,270 COMBINATION CORNER AND BUMPER LAMP ASSEMBLIES OF VARIOUS PART NUMBERS SOLD FOR USE AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FOR VARIOUS PASSENGER VEHICLES. THESE HEADLAMPS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THESE LAMPS DO NOT CONTAIN THE REQUIRED AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS.

Remedy: SABERSPORT WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND OFFER A FULL REFUND FOR THE NONCOMPLIANT COMBINATION LAMPS. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 11, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SABERSPORT AT 1-909-598-7589.
