“After having the fuel pressure sensor gasket changed for the recall, I have had a strong fuel smell in the cabin. Taken to the dealer, spent nine weeks looking for the leak. They said they couldn't find it, but wanted me to pay $840 for gasket kit, but would not guarantee that it would fix it, next step would be to pull the engine at my expense...? “Vehicle unsafe to drive after ABS actuator malfuntions and notice that is unsafe to drive per codes from the computer specifically all brake malfunction lights and warnings come on ont the display warnings indicate the vehicle is unsafe to operate and to have it serviced immediately .. The contact stated that the warning indicator illuminated for the ABS and the 'not to drive the vehicle due to a system failure, contact the dealer' message displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (lexus of lakeway, 108 ranch rd 620 s, lakeway, tx 78734, (512) 593-7581) for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. There were six tsbs for the brake system, but no recalls were issued for the brake system. The contact was not driving the vehicle due to the failure. “Tl* the contact owns a 2007 lexus ls460l. While driving 45 mph, the brake actuator fractured. When the brake pedal was depressed, it traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to nalley lexus galleria (2750 cobb pkwy south east, smyrna, ga 30080) where it was diagnosed that the brake actuator failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that the vehicle's extended warranty had expired. No further assistance was offered. “During low speed braking. There is a buzzing noise/vibration coming from the brake pedal and engine compartment. I am pretty certain, but not 100% that when this noise is present, my braking ability is diminished. “After an oil change at the dealer, the car is unable to accelerate, sluggish, and the powertrain acts lethargic, particularly when trying to enter the freeway or merge into traffic. The dealer has performed a software update, however the problem still persists. This only happened after and oil change. Several other ls460 owners I know complain about the same phenomenon. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2007-2010 Lexus LS vehicles manufactured May 9, 2006, to July 20, 2010, 2006-2011 Lexus GS vehicles manufactured January 6, 2005, to September 10, 2010, and 2006-2011 Lexus IS vehicles manufactured August 30, 2005, to September 10, 2010. Due to anti-corrosion plating remnants, fuel may leak from where the fuel pressure sensor is attached to the fuel delivery pipe.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will clean and reseal the fuel pressure sensor mounting area, free of charge. The recall began March 3, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 THROUGH 2008 LEXUS PASSENGER CARS MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 26, 2005 THROUGH AUGUST 4, 2008. MICRO-FOREIGN OBJECTS IN THE MATERIAL OF THE VALVE SPRING MAY DEGRADE THE STRENGTH OF THE VALVE SPRING, POSSIBLY CAUSING THE SPRING TO BREAK.
Remedy: TOYOTA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LEXUS AT 1-800-255-3987.
