“The contact owns a 2007 Land Rover LR3. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, there was a delay in the vehicle responding. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact aggressively depressed the brake pedal, and the vehicle came to a complete stop. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. “He passenger side dash where the airbag is installed has a sudden straight line crack in the dash at the bottom of where the airbag is installed in the dash and a straight line crack on the left of the airbag in the dash. These are perfectly straight lines, vehicle is kept in a garage when not in use. The vehicle has never been left in the sun for a long period of time. “I have experienced a remote key failure issue with my land rover that appears to be a result from wiring corrosion (front passenger panel). This corrosion causes the wiring harnesses to become damaged and wiring breaks and exposed to bare metal and could potentially cause fire. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic and the mechanic confirmed that the door linkage needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. “Tl* the contact owns a 2007 land rover lr3. The contact stated that the valve stem separated from the rim, causing the tire to deflate. The separation was due to corrosion built on the valve stem. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the dealer advised that all four valves on each tire were corroded. The dealer replaced each valve stem. “Front differential bearing failed at 51500. Vehicle was brought into land rover dealer at approximately 48000 miles while still under warranty for a noise coming from the front of the vehicle and the dealer failed to diagnose it at this point. Remedy: THULE WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND PROVIDE A REPAIR KIT AND INSTRUCTIONS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JUNE 20, 2007. OWNERS CAN CONTACT THULE AT 800-THULE91 (800-848-5391).
