Two of my sons were involved in a rollover accident. Thankfully, they are ok with minor injuries and bruising. However, none of the airbags deployed.Owner report · Air Bags · Aug 2026
ball joint recall was issues and done on paper in August 2006 on the Jeep liberty. Both ball joint have failed on this vehicle at different times this year while driving the vehicle and Jeep has declined to take any responsibility in any way. This is a major safety concern as any kind of speed while this occurs would be catastrophic. I suspect that Jeep submitted that the recall was fixed when in fact it was not and documents were falsified.Owner report · Suspension · Jul 2026
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2006 Jeep Liberty on January 16, 2026, from a used car dealer. While attempting to obtain insurance for the vehicle, the insurance company discovered a mileage discrepancy. The insurance company informed the contact that the vehicle could not be insured due to the mileage discrepancy. The dealer was contacted however, while attempting to retrieve a Carfax report; Carfax could not provide the report. At the time of the purchase, the mileage was 143,000; however, the insurance company discovered that the mileage was 168,000 in 2020.Owner report · Electrical System · Mar 2026

I purchased the car on 10/07\2024, the dealer said there was a recall and I assumed it was for this issue: When I fill the tank it shoots fuel all over the place. Ive tried different gas stations but it doesn't help, it still shoots or spills fuel all over the place. I checked online and this seems to be a known problem caused by the ethanol in the fuel reacting with a check valve. HAVING FUEL SHOOT OUT AT YOU EVERY TIME YOU FILL THE CAR IS DANGEROUS!!!Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Oct 2024
Driver Front Lower Ball joint failed. Recalled ball joints were replaced in 2006. Spoke to Chrysler in 2020 about both lower ball joint boots being deteriorating and ball joints worn and rusty due to failure of recall work but refused to redo recall due to age of vehicle. Vehicle has less than 100k miles. Ball joint failed when turning from stop sign. Loud pop was heard and grinding from drivers side wheel.Owner report · Suspension · Mar 2023

The front lower ball joint on the passenger side broke in half which caused my tire to completely separate from the car. Luckily it happened in my driveway, but I had just gotten off the interstate going 75 mph. After replacing it, a closer inspection was done on both upper front ball joints and the driver side lower ball joint. All need replacement. It was a near miss crash, but mine and others safety is still on jeopardy because I can't afford to replace all of them. I haven't received any recall information in the mail from the manufacturer.Owner report · Suspension · Aug 2022
