I have to continually add motor oil to my engine. Every 1,000-1,500 miles I need a quart of oil added. There should be a recall to address this issue.Owner report · Engine · May 2026
Hearing a humming noise but when locked in 4wd lock it goes away. This is the clutch plates in the rear differential chattering and binding up. Over time this will wear bearings and gear out which in turn will lock up the rear differential causing a accident by loss of control. Jeep covered this problem up by a software update to the computer. All this does is change the behavior of the system as a whole not fix the problem. They need to recall it and change the rear differential and fix the clutch plate dragging that is causing all these issuesOwner report · Unknown Or Other · May 2026

The auto start/stop feature will fail at random when I come to a stop. My vehicle will shut off and the parking brake will turn on, leading to delays in traffic and unsafe traffic situations. I have had my battery replaced, so this has occured with new batteries and nothing wrong with my car.Owner report · Electrical System · May 2026
After replacing both batteries in my jeep compass 2019. The "Stop safely vehicle will shut down" message kept coming on. In traffic the car shut off completely and wouldn't start. This is a reoccurring issue and jeep doesn't care. It needs to be fixed. To shut off completely during driving is a safety hazard!!!Owner report · Electrical System · Mar 2026
Going into a turn oil light flashed briefly and car completely shut down mid turn this happend 2 times in a month I have previously logged a complaint where the start stop did a similar shutdown in middle of driving this is extremely dangerous the issue is all over the forums on jeep someone will die as a result of this and nothing is being done its a real life saftey issue!!!Owner report · Engine · Mar 2026
I was driving to work at about 4:30am and was stopped at a stoplight. When the light turned green I tried to accelarate and the engine stalled. The engine temperature warning light came on. I waited a few minutes and the vehicle started right up.Owner report · Engine · Feb 2026
UNKNOWN On just a regular day the vehicle stop showing on the screen the camera to back up , and glitching . The whole screen went out slowly by slowly . One day the screen lights up and you can see camera to warn you on cars and the next it doesn't show anything on screen and it turns black . You can't even read the temperature either because the screen blacks out or starts glitching really bad. I went to dealership and no recalls on that particular item .Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Feb 2026
